We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this earnest request for academic success, health, and God’s favor. First, we must acknowledge that all good things come from the Father above, and it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to Him. Jesus said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* Let us always remember that our prayers are heard because of Christ, and it is by His grace that we receive answers.
Father God, we lift up this dear one who is awaiting the results of their entrance exam and interview. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and we ask that You grant them favor in Your sight. If it is Your will, open the doors of opportunity at this university, for You declare in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* We pray that this season of waiting would be filled with Your peace, knowing that You hold their future in Your hands.
We also bring before You their upcoming 12th board exams. Lord, grant them wisdom, focus, and clarity of mind as they prepare. Strengthen their memory and help them to retain what they have studied. We claim Your promise in Proverbs 2:6, *"For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding."* May they not rely on their own strength but lean on You for guidance and success.
Father, we also lift up their mother’s health. You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon her. Comfort her in any pain or discomfort, and restore her strength according to Your will. We trust in Your word in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."*
Now, Lord, we must also address the heart behind these requests. While we pray for success and favor, we ask that You align this one’s desires with Your perfect will. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33). May their pursuit of education never overshadow their pursuit of You. If there are areas in their life where they have placed their hope in worldly achievements rather than in Christ, reveal that to them, and draw them closer to You.
We rebuke any spirit of anxiety, fear, or doubt that may be trying to take root in their heart. The enemy would love to steal their peace, but we declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we trust that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
Father, we also pray for humility in success. If You grant them admission to this university and bless them with good results, may they give You all the glory. Let their life be a testimony of Your faithfulness, and may they use the opportunities You provide to serve You and others. Help them to remember that their identity is found in Christ alone, not in academic achievements or worldly recognition.
Lord, we ask that You surround this one with godly mentors, friends, and family who will encourage them in their walk with You. Protect them from influences that would lead them away from Your truth, and help them to stand firm in their faith. May they be a light in their school, their home, and wherever You lead them.
We commit all these requests into Your hands, trusting that You hear us and that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). May Your will be done in every area of their life, and may they walk in the fullness of Your blessings.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
