Dear Mangina, Child of God, There are many same-gender attracted people who are wonderful Christians who live a truly good life with God in their heart and soul and who have become Born Again. Some have even heard the call in their heart to serve God and have chosen to answer that call by becoming ordained clergy, or with women part of a female Christian order. We must give rightful credit where credit is due. Jesus knows all that is in their heart and is with them.
IMHO, you must try to have greater understanding for your daughter and her plight, as you have spoken about in your prayer request. She undoubtedly has gone through much in her revelation of this and the last thing she would expect is rejection. Ever since I started hearing about the plight of same-gender attracted people and consequent suicides, I began to research this important matter. I found that a great many of them are church-going Christians who as previously mentioned have become clergymen and some have even been elevated to the position of Bishop and higher by their Christian churches. Many are indeed pro-active in their community as well. We cannot judge anyone's intentions as that is not what God wants for us to do. He wants for us to love them too, unconditionally as He does!
I have also found that a great many of these folks can be even more loving as Christians than their "Straight" counterparts. I am not at all surprised by this finding due to the many fights and divorces and abortions that take place in the Heterosexual community, most unfortunately. And many of these folks even want children and have gone on to procreate or adopt which is an inherent right for any human being to want or to do so the old stereotypes of them must be set aside once and for all. But the prejudice against them, unfortunately persists and I, for one, do not want to be a part of something that is not filled with God's Love or that does not respect another's right to exist. Therefore, I will not jump on the bandwagon just to be known as being part of what others wish to think about these folks nor will I entertain the thought of not speaking up for them just to be "politically correct" with some others. Not speaking up for those who have litte or no voice is not my style. Indeed, speaking up may, in some way, help prevent further tragedies!
Mangina, I hope God will bless you with understanding, peace, and hope in your heart for this situation. Your daughter may indeed already have God in her heart so that she may not need to re-find Him. May your daughter receive His blessings also and may her heart be alleviated from the pain and fear she may be now suffering. I send both of you my Love.
P.S. I will be writing more on this in my blog shortly. After learning of many suicides committed by young people as well as adults due to some people hating them and belittling them, bullying them in school, and making life very difficult for them, I feel this matter must be fully discussed. If it helps to avoid and prevent just one more suicide, these efforts will have been well worth it!

I accept and believe that Jesus Christ is the One and only begotten Son of God. I believe in my heart that Jesus died on the cross for me and that He resurrected from the dead through God. I promise to serve you in the most holy name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
