We thank you for sharing this beautiful request with us and we count it a joy to continue to intercede for you and to stand with you in prayer together in Jesus name.

We join our faith with yours as you have asked according to Colossians 1:9-15 and we pray as the Scripture says, For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, don't cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy Colossians 1:9-12. We thank the Father who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light, who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love, in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins Colossians 1:12-14, who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation Colossians 1:15.

We also speak the Aaronic blessing over you as you requested from Numbers 6:24-26, Yahweh bless you, and keep you. Yahweh make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. Yahweh lift up his face toward you, and give you peace. We ask the Lord to cause His favor and peace to rest upon you richly this week.

We lift up your desire for a spirit of obedience and a repentant heart, for this is the work of the indwelling Holy Spirit and it pleases the Lord greatly. Jesus said If you love me, keep my commandments John 14:15 and we are told The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, God, you will not despise Psalm 51:17. We pray that the Lord will create in you a soft and tender heart that is quick to hear His voice, quick to confess and turn from sin, and joyful to obey. We ask Him to keep you in true repentance, for it is written Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord Acts 3:19.

We also pray with you to put on the whole armor of God. We pray that you will be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:10-11. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand Ephesians 6:12-13. We pray that daily by faith you will gird yourself with truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God.

And we agree with you in pleading the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ over your mind, soul and spirit. We thank God that in him we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace Ephesians 1:7 and that the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin 1 John 1:7. We ask the Lord to cover your thoughts, your inner being and your spirit with His precious blood, to wash you, to guard you from the evil one, and to give you a sound mind and peace.

Father we lift up our dear brother before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We ask You to fill him anew with Your Holy Spirit, to grant him spiritual wisdom and understanding, to cause him to walk worthy of You and to bear much fruit. Pour out Your blessing and keep him, make Your face to shine upon him and be gracious to him, lift up Your countenance upon him and give him Your perfect peace. Grant him a heart that loves obedience and hates sin, a heart that remains broken and contrite before You. Clothe him daily with Your armor that he may stand firm, and cover his mind, soul and spirit with the blood of Jesus that he may walk in victory, holiness and joy. We thank You that You hear our prayer because we come through Jesus alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved and have access to You. Continue Your faithful work in him and keep him close to You. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Shalom, thank you for letting us pray with you so specifically. We hear your longing to walk in obedience before the Lord with a soft, repentant heart, and to be covered and strengthened by Him day by day.

We are joining you in prayer for what you named, for the Lord through His Holy Spirit to keep your heart tender toward Him, to grow in you a willing obedience, and for His protection over your mind, soul and spirit as you put on the armor He provides. We also pray the blessing you asked from Numbers and the growth in knowing His will from Colossians would be your lived experience.

One thing that has helped many of us is remembering that this kind of growth is gradual and lifelong. True repentance is more than feeling sorry, it is a change of mind that by God's grace leads to a change of direction, and sanctification happens over time as we keep turning to Him. It is not about trying harder in our own strength, but walking steadily with the Holy Spirit through the ordinary means He has given us.

A simple next step that may help is to keep a steady, unhurried time in the Word and in prayer each day, even briefly, and to walk alongside one or two mature believers who can encourage you and pray with you in person.

Father, we lift our friend to You now. Draw near and keep this heart tender and willing before You, teach us to walk in Your ways, and guard mind, soul and spirit under the shed blood of Jesus. Fill us with Your Spirit and make us faithful to You step by step. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have received your petition with thankfulness and do count it a joyful privilege to bear you up before the throne of grace.

You have asked to be remembered according to the word of the Lord, and we do so gladly. Our prayer for you is that which Paul prayed, that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all might according to his glorious power unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness, giving thanks unto the Father who hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light, who hath delivered us from the power of darkness and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son, in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. And we pronounce over you the ancient blessing of the priest, The Lord bless thee, and keep thee, the Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee, the Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

You ask also for a spirit of obedience and a repentant heart, and for the putting on of the whole armor of God and the covering of the shed blood of Christ upon your mind, soul and spirit. This is a right and spiritual desire, for true repentance is always the gift of God and the work of the Holy Spirit in the soul. Man left to himself continues in sin, but when God turns him, he turns and sorrows after a godly sort. We pray that the Lord would renew your heart, for the heart is the seat of our blindness and there lies the darkness which beclouds the whole mind, and to the heart the light must come. When He gives a new heart and a right spirit, that heart admires the character of God and adores Him as holy, holy, holy, Lord God of Sabaoth, loving His completeness and perfection.

And for obedience, we pray that yours may be the obedience of faith, not the obedience of a slave tuned to the crack of the whip, but the obedience of a child, the obedience of love. Faith is the morning star of obedience, and the exactness of obedience is the essence of obedience. May the Spirit of the Lord work in you to believe the teaching of Christ, to trust His work and to rest in His salvation, so that you may run in the way of His commandments and mount on the wings of eagles to do whatsoever He bids you. Give Him your heart at once and thoroughly, for a heart that is halved is killed, and He asks for the whole heart because He is Love itself.

We pray also that you may be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, putting on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. May you stand girt about with truth, having on the breastplate of righteousness, your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, taking the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. And we plead over you the precious shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, that by it your conscience may be purged, your mind kept in peace, and your soul and spirit preserved blameless, for there is power in that blood to cleanse and to keep.

May the Lord hear you alone with Himself, as a man of God alone with God, declaring your ways unto Him and hearing His voice in return, and may He teach you His statutes and cause you to walk therein with a pure heart that shall see God.
