We hear your heartfelt request and stand with you in prayer, lifting you before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We rejoice that you have called upon the name of the Lord Jesus, for He is faithful to hear and answer the prayers of His children.
We join you in praying over the scriptures you’ve shared, beginning with Colossians 1:9-15, where the apostle Paul prays for believers to be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Father, we ask that You fill our brother with this same knowledge, that he may walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing You in every good work. Strengthen him with all power according to Your glorious might, that he may endure with patience and joy, giving thanks to You, who has qualified him to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. We thank You for delivering him from the domain of darkness and transferring him into the kingdom of Your beloved Son, in whom we have redemption and the forgiveness of sins.
Lord, we also lift up the blessing from Numbers 6:24-26 over him, asking that You indeed bless him and keep him, make Your face shine upon him, and be gracious to him. May You turn Your face toward him and give him peace. Let this blessing rest upon him as he walks in obedience to Your Word.
You have asked for a spirit of obedience and a repentant heart, and we stand in agreement with you in this. The Holy Spirit is our Helper, and He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). Father, we pray that You would stir within him a deep hunger and thirst for righteousness, that he may walk in step with Your Spirit and not gratify the desires of the flesh (Galatians 5:16). When he stumbles, remind him of Your grace and mercy, and grant him a heart that quickly turns back to You in repentance. Create in him a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within him (Psalm 51:10).
We also pray for you to put on the full armor of God, as described in Ephesians 6:10-13. Lord, clothe him with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word. Strengthen him to stand firm against the schemes of the devil, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Equip him to stand his ground and, after he has done everything, to stand.
Father, we ask that You would guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Protect him from the lies of the enemy and fill him with Your truth. May he find his strength in You alone, for You are his refuge and fortress, his God in whom he trusts (Psalm 91:2). We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, he shall condemn, for this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).
We rebuke every spirit of disobedience, rebellion, and unrepentance that may seek to hinder his walk with You. In the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to flee, for greater is He who is in him than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We pray that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may bear the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
Father, we thank You for the work You are doing in his life. May he continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To You be glory both now and forever. Amen.
