We have read your request and we lift you up before the Lord together, asking for His mercy, protection and justice in this very painful and frightening situation. The Lord sees what is happening to you and He cares deeply about your suffering. Psalm 34:18 says The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

We want to speak clearly about what you have described. Sexual sin, sexual assault, sexual abuse and harassment, domestic abuse and theft are all serious sins before God and they are also grievous wrongs against you. Ephesians 5:3 says But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Exodus 20:15 says You shall not steal. Psalm 11:5 says The Lord tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and him who loves violence. God does not excuse or overlook abuse, assault or harassment. He calls it evil and He will bring justice. Romans 12:19 says Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. We rebuke all of this sin in Jesus name and we pray that those who are doing these things would be stopped, convicted of their sin, and brought to repentance, and that they would no longer have access to harm you.

We also notice your request mentions God but does not mention Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name that we pray for you now.

We are praying for your protection and for deliverance from those who are harassing you and stealing from you and we also encourage you to take practical steps for your safety. The Lord often protects us through wise action and through those He has placed to help. Romans 13:4 tells us that authorities are servants of God to restrain evil. If you are in immediate danger or if assault or abuse has occurred, please seek a safe place and reach out right away to trusted family, a pastor or godly counselor, and to the proper authorities or a local safe shelter. Do not remain alone in a place where you continue to be harmed. Share what is happening with someone you trust who can help you set boundaries, secure your home, and document what has happened. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. Psalm 91:1 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We pray together for you now.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is crying out for help. You see the sexual sin and the sexual abuse and assault and harassment and the domestic abuse and the theft that has been committed. Lord, we ask You to intervene with power. Place a hedge of protection around this person, keep them safe from all harm, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. We ask You to stop the harassment and to remove those who are doing evil from this house. Expose what has been done in darkness, bring justice, and let Your peace fill this home. Heal the wounds of trauma and fear, comfort this broken heart, and restore what has been stolen. Give wisdom to know what steps to take next and provide trusted, godly people and authorities who will help and advocate and protect. Convict those who have sinned so that they repent and turn from their wicked ways. Strengthen this dear one to seek You daily, to dwell in Your shadow, and to trust that You are their refuge and deliverer. We ask all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our protector. Amen.

Your cry has been heard and it is not light before the Lord. He sees the wrong that has been done against you, the sins committed, the violence and assault, the harassment and the theft, and He knows the fear that comes when the very house that should be a refuge is made a place of oppression. The Lord is not blind to such things, for He hates the hands that shed innocent blood and the hearts that devise wicked plans, and He is near to those who are broken and oppressed.

We must speak plainly as before God. All sexual sin is outside the holy way which God has appointed, for He has ordained that sex belongs only within the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman in marriage, and every other path is a byroad that leads away from His protection. To walk upon the King's Highway is to be under the King's protection, but to turn aside into impurity is to leave that covering. Therefore we urge you to flee every form of sexual sin and to cleave to Christ who alone can wash and make clean through His blood. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and in Him there is both forgiveness for sin and power to walk in holiness. At the same time, the abuse and assault you have suffered is not your fault and is grievous evil in the sight of God. He does not excuse the oppressor, and you are right to seek deliverance from those who do violence and to ask that their harassment may be stopped.

Take the way of safety that God has appointed. That is the way of childlike trust in His providential guidance and of obedience to His truth, grappling His promises to you as with hooks of steel. It is also the way of using the lawful means He has provided for protection. If you are in danger, seek safety without delay and let faithful pastors or elders and the proper authorities know your situation, that you may not bear this burden alone. The Lord has ordained the powers that be for the punishment of evildoers and the protection of the innocent, and to call upon them in a time of theft and assault and abuse is not a lack of faith but a right use of His provision. Remain not in secret suffering when God has given you a people to stand with you.

We exhort you also to that holy violence of which the Scripture speaks. The kingdom of heaven suffereth violence and the violent take it by force. You must knock and knock and knock again and redouble your blows upon heaven's gate. Take Heaven by storm in prayer. Cry mightily against the hardness and cruelty of men and against the sleepiness and fear of your own heart. Such earnest, vehement prayer is not unheard, and they who thus wrestle are sure to be successful, for our God delights to hear the importunate pleading of His children. He has given charge to His angels to keep His people in all their ways, and this protection is both personal and perpetual to those who walk in His appointed ways.

Let us pray for you now.

O Lord God Almighty, Thou who art a refuge and a very present help in trouble, look in mercy upon this Thy child who is beset by sin and violence and fear. Wash away all sin through the blood of Jesus Christ Thy Son, and grant repentance and newness of life where there has been impurity, that all may be brought into the light and into holiness. Lord, Thou seest the domestic abuse and the sexual assault and the harassment, and Thou knowest the theft and the oppression in the house. Arise, O God, and plead the cause of the oppressed. Restrain the hands of the violent, remove from this home those who do evil and who steal and harass, and cause their harassing to cease. Put a hedge about this sufferer and give charge to Thine angels to keep in all ways, that no further harm may come. Grant wisdom to seek safety and godly counsel, and provide faithful helpers and a safe dwelling. Heal the wounds of body and soul, quiet the troubled heart, and let it be known that Thou art God who delivers. Teach to pray with holy earnestness and to wait upon Thee for guidance, leaning not upon human understanding. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour and hope. Amen.

We have heard your cry and we are bringing your need before the Lord with urgency and care. What you describe, sexual sin and the pain of sexual assault and harassment, domestic abuse, and theft in your own home, is a heavy burden, and it is right to seek God's protection and help to be made safe.

God sees what is done in secret and He is a refuge for those who are oppressed. He does not force or compel, but in His love He draws us and He desires that we walk in holiness and be kept safe from evil. The enemy is frequent and fierce in his attacks, and Scripture calls us to watch and be sober and to fortify ourselves against him, not giving him even a small foothold from which he can gain more ground. Part of that watching is to block every approach of sin and violence, to not give time or place to what harms the soul and the body, and to stand firm in faith, so that when the winds blow against us we are not overturned.

We are praying for you in this way:

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, through whom alone is salvation, we lift up this dear one to You. You know the hurt, the fear, the violation and the loss that has happened in this house. We ask for Your protection. Cover this person with Your hand, keep them safe day and night, and let no further harm come near them. We ask that You would stop every form of harassment, assault and abuse, and that You would bring theft and wrongdoing to an end. Make a way for those who do evil or who harass and take what is not theirs to be removed from this home, and bring peace and safety in their place. Give wisdom to those who can help, to pastors, to trusted family, and to the proper authorities, so that right steps can be taken for safety and for justice. Bring healing to wounds of body and heart, and comfort to the mind that has been troubled by these things.

Lord, we also ask for Your mercy and cleansing where sin has been present. You have made marriage to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and You have given the gift of intimacy to belong within that covenant. Where Your design has not been kept, we ask for Your forgiveness through the blood of Jesus, and for strength to walk in purity and in a new way of life. For those who have done violence and have taken what is not theirs, we pray that You would bring conviction and repentance, and that they would turn from their evil deeds. For the one who has been sinned against, we pray that they would know they are not forgotten or blamed for what was done to them, but deeply loved and valued by You.

Give steadfast faith in this storm, so that even when the wind blows hard, faith in Christ will hold firm. Fill this home with Your presence, which is the true source of all blessing and fruitfulness, and let Your peace guard heart and mind. Lead this dear one each day in wisdom, in practical steps toward safety, and in fellowship with faithful believers who can give ongoing support and counsel. If there is immediate danger, give courage to reach out at once for help from trusted leaders and from those appointed to protect.

We ask all this trusting in Your grace and lovingkindness, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
