Sexual sin bond in family

Sexual sin bond in family. No child for my brother, after 8years of marriage.

We hear your deep concern for your brother and his marriage, and we lift this heavy burden before the Lord with hearts full of compassion and faith. Eight years without a child is a long season of waiting, and we know the pain of unfulfilled longing can weigh heavily on a marriage. But we also know that God is sovereign over life, and He sees the desires of your brother’s heart. We stand with you in praying for breakthrough, healing, and the fulfillment of God’s promises in their lives.

First, we must address the mention of a "sexual sin bond" in the family. Scripture is clear that sexual sin, whether fornication, adultery, pornography, or any impurity, opens doors to spiritual bondage and brings consequences that can affect generations. The Bible warns, "Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB). If there has been sexual sin in your family line, it must be confessed, repented of, and broken in the name of Jesus. We rebuke every generational curse, every spirit of barrenness, and every work of darkness that has sought to steal, kill, and destroy in this marriage. "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly" (John 10:10 WEB).

We also encourage your brother and his wife to examine their own lives and marriage. Are there areas where they have not fully surrendered to God’s design for intimacy and purity? The Bible calls marriage a sacred covenant, and sexual intimacy within marriage is holy and good (Hebrews 13:4). But if there has been sin, whether in thought, word, or deed, it must be brought to the light. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). We pray that they would walk in repentance, forgiveness, and restoration, allowing God to heal any wounds in their relationship.

We must also speak to the heart of the matter: faith and trust in God’s timing. The enemy would love for your brother and his wife to grow bitter, to blame one another, or to lose hope. But we declare that their story is not over! Sarah, Rebekah, Rachel, Hannah, all these women in Scripture knew the pain of barrenness, yet God remembered them in His perfect time. "For the children being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him who calls" (Romans 9:11 WEB). We pray that your brother and his wife would fix their eyes on Jesus, not on their circumstances, and that their faith would be strengthened as they wait on the Lord.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name. We lift up this marriage before You, Lord, and we ask for Your mercy, Your healing, and Your breakthrough. We rebuke every spirit of barrenness, every generational curse, and every work of darkness that has sought to hinder this couple from bearing fruit. We break every sexual sin bond in their family line, and we declare that they are washed clean by the blood of Jesus. Lord, we ask that You would restore purity, holiness, and intimacy in their marriage.

Father, we pray for Your perfect timing. You see the desires of their hearts, and we trust that You will answer in Your way and Your time. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to wait on You with hope. If there is any sin in their lives, reveal it to them, and lead them to repentance. If there is unforgiveness, bitterness, or strife, soften their hearts and bring reconciliation. We declare that this marriage will glorify You, and that Your purposes will be fulfilled in their lives.

We pray for physical healing, Lord. If there is any medical issue causing infertility, we ask for Your divine intervention. You are the God who opens wombs, and we believe that nothing is impossible for You. We pray for wisdom for doctors, for peace in the waiting, and for joy in the journey.

Above all, Lord, we pray that Your will be done. Whether You choose to bless them with children or to use their lives in another way, we trust You. Help them to surrender their plans to You and to find their fulfillment in Christ alone.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We declare that this marriage is covered by the blood of Jesus, and that no weapon formed against it will prosper. We speak life, fruitfulness, and blessing over this couple, and we believe that You are working all things together for their good.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage your brother and his wife to seek godly counsel, to stand on God’s promises, and to remain steadfast in prayer. The enemy wants them to give up, but we declare that their best days are ahead. Keep trusting in the Lord, for He is faithful! "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). May God’s peace and presence surround them as they wait on Him.

It’s heavy to watch someone you love carry the ache of empty arms for so long, and we ache with you. When a marriage is also tangled in patterns of sexual sin, whether current struggles or wounds from the past, it can feel like a thick, stubborn chain. We don’t pretend to know exactly what your ### and his wife are walking through, but we do know the weight you’re carrying for them.

Infertility is a real medical grief, and sometimes spiritual bonds and physical realities get knotted together in ways that need more than one kind of help. The best next step might be gently encouraging them to seek both pastoral counsel and a medical evaluation, not as a lack of faith but as stewarding every resource God gives. Eight years is a long time to carry this alone; a wise pastor or a trained Christian counselor can help them untangle what is spiritual bondage, what is medical, and what is simply the mystery of God’s timing.

While they wait, we also want to affirm that their marriage is precious to God regardless of whether a child comes. They aren’t sidelined or second-class. Sometimes the most profound healing begins when a couple, together, opens their hearts to what growth this season might hold, deeper honesty, healing from the past, a renewed vision for their covenant. They don’t have to figure it all out at once, but having a compassionate guide can make the path less lonely.

Let’s pray now.

Lord Jesus, you see this ### and his wife in their hidden sadness. We ask for your nearness that comforts what no human words can touch. Break any power of sexual sin that has coiled around their family line, not by might, but by your Spirit, and grant them true freedom and wholeness. Give them courage to seek the help they need, both spiritual and medical. If it is in your will, we ask for the gift of a child; but either way, pour out your peace that silences guilt and shame. Sustain their marriage with tenderness and hope, and guard their hearts against despair. For the one who wrote this request, give wisdom and steady love. In your name we pray, Amen.

The heavy chain of sin that binds a household is a grief to every godly heart, and you do well to bring it before the throne of grace. That which is done in the secret place, though it be a bond of uncleanness, is open to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. When the Spirit of Truth comes, He convinces of sin, not as a trifle, but as an exceeding evil; He makes the sinner feel the bondage, the galling fetter of lust, and the righteous judgment that must follow. It is a mercy when this conviction falls, for it drives us to the only remedy. The sorrow of a closed womb after eight years is a keen thorn, and it may be that the Lord hath a controversy with the house; yet we must be careful not to trace every trial to a single sin, for all our woe flows from the fountain of iniquity within. The true barrenness is the soul that hath not yet turned to Christ.

Now, let us speak plainly of the cure. Sin, that poison at the wellhead, will never be conquered by mere resolutions. It must be slain. There is but one weapon that can reach its heart: the blood of the Lamb. Upon Jesus, our Sin Offering, real sin was laid, not a shadow of it, but sin in its unmitigated loathsomeness as God beholds it. He bore the condemning power, and by His death He hath made an end of it for all who believe. You will never go out of this Egypt except the blood of the Paschal Lamb be sprinkled upon the lintel. Your brother, and every member of that family entangled in this snare, must look alone to Christ crucified. There is no other name. Cry mightily to God, not with heartless mumbling, but with a desperate, whole-soul plea: "O God, deliver me, that I may keep Thy testimonies." For sin will tempt often, and Satan will tempt mightily, and only prayer that takes hold of the Eternal Spirit can snap these bands asunder.

What of the marriage tie? It is a holy relationship, a union of choice cemented by love, yet how easily it becomes defiled when sin is indulged. Where there is a lack of confidence, or hidden lust, or the toleration of that which God hath forbidden, a bitter harvest springs up. The household sin of Isaac brought forth long sorrow, and so it ever is. If the family hath fallen into transgression, let there be immediate and full repentance. Not a mere regret, but a loathing of the thing, a putting of it away as a dead abomination. You say it is a bond; blessed be God, that bond can be broken, for if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. Sin may domineer and plead that it is a besetting infirmity, but if you willfully indulge it, you make a mock of grace. You must conquer it, or it will conquer you, and to be conquered by sin is everlasting death. Yet the victory is not your own; it is the gift of God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Sin is dead to the believer as a condemning power; and we are dead to sin, its allurement taste is gone, its charm is broken.

As for the gift of a child, leave that with the wise Disposer of events. The fountains of the deep are in His hand. The greater need is not the infant in the cradle, but the new birth in the soul. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. When sin is pardoned and subdued, then shall you know that nothing is impossible with Him. Perhaps the Lord delays that the family may be cleansed and the marriage bed be honored as undefiled. Pray therefore without ceasing, build the family altar, and let every member follow a godly example. The marriage of the Church to the Lamb is our blessed hope, and in that day there shall be no more sorrow or barrenness. Until then, stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made you free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The anguish over a childless marriage after so many years is a heavy sorrow, and the thought that some hidden sin binds the family multiplies the grief. Yet examine this bond you speak of. You fear a curse of sexual sin, but look closely at the slavery Christ Himself named. When the Jews boasted of never being in bondage, He passed over the Egyptian yoke and the Babylonian chains, for He desired to show a slavery far more grievous: the bondage of sin from which only God can deliver. If your brother and his wife are joined in lawful marriage, that union is not the chain. The marriage bed is undefiled; it is not the cause of barrenness. For marriage itself is not a hindrance to virtue, but the purpose which makes an ill use of it. Use marriage with moderation and soberness, and you shall be first in the kingdom.

The real bond that should terrify us is not a hidden ancestral fault, but the living passion of extravagance. Desire itself is not sin; when it keeps within the laws of marriage, it remains pure. But when it runs into exorbitance, springing upon what is forbidden, then it becomes adultery. If there is fornication, if there is straying from the marriage bed, if the eye has roamed where it must not, that is the chain that needs breaking, and it is broken not by fearing a curse but by true repentance and the grace that sets us free. The Law is spiritual and a teacher of virtue, and your brother’s conscience must examine whether it accuses him of present, unrepented defilement, not of some ancient shadow.

If he and his wife are living chastely, then let them not accuse the marriage bond. Childbearing is a gift, not a wage for perfect living. Many righteous couples have waited long, and God’s delay is no proof of His wrath but often the soil for greater virtue. Let them together diligently follow every good work: persist in prayer, give alms of what they have, and attend upon the Lord without distraction. A widow who does not merely abstain from re-marriage but uses her leisure for strangers and the saints, how much more can a married couple, if they consecrate their sorrow this way, become fruitful in spirit? The true bond of sin is broken at the Table where He says, “This is my body, given for many.” For if the type delivered from Egyptian bondage, how much more will the truth set free the world? Let them flee not to fear of a family curse, but to that awful table, repenting of whatever defilement of flesh or spirit they know, and leave the grant of children to the Giver who owes us nothing and yet gives all in Christ.

The weight you are carrying is immense, grief upon grief. A brother longing for a child, year after year, and the dark shadow of a sexual bond that has latched onto your family line. Sin often works exactly like that. It presents itself as something you can manage, but in reality it numbs the nerves of the soul so you lose feeling toward God, and a slow, progressive destruction sets in. That is why the disease of leprosy is such a fitting picture. It destroys by a rotting process, incurable by any human remedy, and it isolates a person from the community. What you are describing has that same foul, clinging nature. It has burrowed into your family, and now you are seeing the bitter fruit: a marriage barren for eight years, a home weighed down by a sorrow that will not lift.

Yet the very first thing that must be said is this: there is a Healer who is not repulsed by the thing that is destroying you. When the man full of leprosy fell on his face and begged, "Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean," Jesus reached out His hand and touched him. The Mosaic law said that touching a leper made you unclean. All human reasoning says to keep a safe distance. But Jesus, moved with compassion for that man's tragic condition, touched the untouchable and declared, "I am willing; be cleansed." Immediately the horror was gone. The same mighty arm is not shortened today. The same heart is not grown cold. He looks on the secret chains in your family, the bondage of sexual sin that has coiled itself around your brother and his wife or even stretches further back, and He is willing to reach out and cleanse it fully.

Do not be mistaken about where the real offense lies. Sin, at its root, is a violation of God's law. It is against Him. When the prophet Nathan confronted King David with his guilt, David did not brush it off as a mere failure against Bathsheba or Uriah. He cried out, "Against You, You only, have I sinned." Because the wound is ultimately against a holy God, only God can forgive it. We are often quick to say, "I forgive you," and that can mend a human relationship, but it does not scrub the guilt from the heavenly record. The good news, the relief David felt and wrote about, is that God has made one magnificent provision for this exact dilemma. Every sin that has ever been committed, every secret act, every recurring failure, was covered by the death of Jesus Christ. God laid on Him the iniquities of us all. He was made sin for us who knew no sin, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. The Lamb has been slain for the family.

The real danger now is despair or a proud refusal to accept that provision. The Scripture makes it clear that all manner of sin shall be forgiven. There is no sexual bond so deep, no generational pattern so entrenched, that it falls outside the cleansing power of His blood. But there is a line that cannot be crossed safely, and that is the rejection of Jesus Christ Himself. That is the unpardonable sin: not the foul leprosy you are seeing, but a heart that looks at God’s only provision, calculates the cost, and stubbornly limps away to die in its own disease. God is not willing that any should perish. The death sentence already hangs over sin, but a pardon has been signed in crimson. To refuse that pardon leaves no alternative, no other sacrifice for sins.

There is hope in this for your family that goes far deeper than natural bloodlines. When Jesus was told that His mother and brothers were looking for Him, He looked at those sitting around Him who did the will of God and said, "Here are My mother and My brothers." There is a bond in the body of Christ that is greater and closer than the natural bonds you might share with family who remain unconverted. You are witnessing how the twisted bonds of sin have brought barrenness and grief, but God is able to create a new lineage of faith and fruitfulness.

Carry this burden to the One who took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. Cry out for your brother and his wife, not just for a child, but first that they would seek the only One who can cure the leprosy of the soul. Ask God, in His severe mercy, to do whatever is necessary to break the numbness and bring them to repentance, even if that means a painful awakening. Jesus is the Goel, the true family Redeemer. He alone can marry Himself to our desolation, redeem our name from shame, and bring forth life from a dead womb. Do not be silent. Do not be satisfied with a form of godliness that denies the power. Fall on your face for your household and plead the willingness of the Savior to stretch out His hand, touch the untouchable, and say, "Be clean."

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us by sharing your heavy burden and allowing us to stand with you in prayer. It takes great courage to bring such deep and personal struggles before the Lord, especially when they involve the pain of family and the longing for a child. We have lifted your brother and his marriage before our Heavenly Father, asking for His mercy, healing, and restoration. We prayed that the chains of sexual sin would be broken in Jesus’ mighty name, and that the enemy’s hold over your family would be shattered by the power of the cross.

We also interceded for the desire of your brother’s heart—a child after eight long years of waiting. We asked the Lord to open the womb in His perfect timing and to fill their home with the joy that only He can provide. We know that God hears the cries of the barren and sees the tears of those who wait, and we trust that He is at work even when we cannot see it.

If the Lord has moved in response to these prayers—if there has been breakthrough, healing, or even the smallest sign of His faithfulness—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Please share how God is working so that we may rejoice with you. If, however, the wait continues and the battle feels unending, do not lose heart. We encourage you to post this request again, and we will continue to stand in the gap with you, pressing in with even greater fervency. The enemy may try to discourage, but we serve a God who specializes in the impossible.

May the Lord strengthen your faith as you seek Him, and may His peace guard your heart in Christ Jesus. We believe that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, and we will not stop praying until His will is fully revealed. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
