What you carried about the ants and your anger, let it rest. We are not bound by the old code that demanded a life for a life and a tooth for a tooth as some relentless personal obligation. That standard was given to judges to limit vengeance, but people twisted it into a burden of self punishment and grudges. Jesus lifted us higher. Run instead to the true refuge. In Christ you are safe from the accuser. You are not required to be physically perfect to approach God. Under the old way, a priest with a blemish could not draw near, and only an unbroken lamb could be offered. But Jesus, the Lamb whose bones were never broken, offered Himself for you. Your brokenness does not bar you from His presence; it invites His healing.
That dehydration and infection you mentioned, bring them before Him simply and often. Ask for wisdom for your body and for the day’s small duties like taking out the garbage and cleaning up. The fear of the Lord is not a terrified crouching but a reverent trust that He sees and provides. There is no real lack for those who lean on Him. Young lions may go hungry, but those who seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.
