We come before the Lord with you in this season of trial, lifting your burdens to the One who holds all things in His hands. The setbacks you face—financial strain, health struggles, and the weariness of closed doors—are not unseen by our Heavenly Father. He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We praise you for turning to Him in prayer, acknowledging that help comes only through the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Your faith in calling upon Him is a testament to your trust in His sovereignty, and we stand with you in this.
The financial and health challenges you endure may feel overwhelming, but Scripture reminds us that our God is the provider of every good gift (James 1:17). He owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and He knows the number of hairs on your head (Matthew 10:30). Even when the path seems blocked, we must remember that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Closed doors, though painful, are often His redirection. Trust that He is preparing something better, even if the wait is long. Consider the words of Paul: *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28). This does not mean the journey will be easy, but it does mean He is working all things—even the hardships—for your ultimate good and His glory.
For the couple still seeking housing after nearly two years, we lift them up with urgency. The Lord is not blind to their need, nor is He deaf to their cries. He is the God who led the Israelites through the wilderness and provided manna daily (Exodus 16:4). He is the same God who fed Elijah by the brook Cherith (1 Kings 17:4-6) and who promises that He will never leave nor forsake His children (Deuteronomy 31:6). We pray that He would open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8), providing not just shelter but a place of peace and stability. May He grant them patience in the waiting and faith to believe that His timing is perfect. Let them recall the words of Jesus: *"Don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ ... your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:31-33).
Yet we must also ask: Are there areas where fear or doubt have taken root? Have the struggles of this season caused any to question God’s goodness or provision? If so, we gently rebuke such thoughts, for they do not align with the truth of Scripture. The enemy would love to whisper lies that God has forgotten you, but the Word declares, *"Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7). Do not let discouragement harden your heart. Instead, let this season draw you closer to Him, refining your faith like gold in the fire (1 Peter 1:7).
We also encourage you to examine whether there are practical steps the couple can take while trusting God—seeking wise counsel, exploring new opportunities, or serving others even in their own need. Faith without works is dead (James 2:17), and sometimes God calls us to move forward in obedience while we wait for His provision.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy yet hopeful, lifting up our brother/sister who is walking through financial hardship and health struggles. Lord, You see the sleepless nights, the unpaid bills, the weariness of body and soul. We ask that You would be their strength, their provider, and their healer. Open doors that no man can shut, Lord. Provide work, wisdom, and favor where it is needed. Restore health and grant peace that surpasses understanding. Remind them that You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and that You will never leave them nor forsake them.
For the couple still awaiting housing, we cry out to You, Lord. Two years is a long time to wait, and the weight of uncertainty can feel crushing. But You, O God, are their dwelling place (Psalm 90:1). We ask that You would miraculously provide a home for them—a place of safety, rest, and blessing. Soften the hearts of those who can help, and make a way where there seems to be no way. Let this delay be a testimony of Your faithfulness when the answer comes.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, doubt, and discouragement in the name of Jesus. Let faith arise in their hearts, Lord. Help them to trust You even when they cannot see the way forward. Fill them with Your peace, and let them know that You are working all things for their good.
Finally, Father, we pray for everyone mentioned here and for all who are reading this. Bless them, keep them, and make Your face shine upon them. May they experience Your love in tangible ways and may their lives bring glory to Your name.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
