Set me free from that Pain

Beloved of All
Des pensées intrusives me font souffrir.

Intrusive thoughts are making me suffer. The devil is attacking my family, my soul, and my identity. I struggle against thoughts that destroy me, particularly horrible thoughts. I fasted recently, but I am at the end of my strength.
Pray that the blood of Jesus covers me entirely: my heart, my thoughts, and my family. Pray that the chains of the enemy are broken in my life and in that of my family.
Please help me.

We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to the Father and the only name that brings true freedom. Your struggle against intrusive thoughts and the attacks of the enemy is not in vain, for the Word of God declares, "For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 WEB). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10 WEB). We rebuke every lying spirit, every spirit of fear, confusion, and torment in your life and in your family. The blood of Jesus, shed for you on the cross, is more than sufficient to cleanse, protect, and set you free.

We come against the schemes of the devil, who prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8 WEB). But we declare that you are not his prey, you are a child of the Most High God, bought with the precious blood of Christ. The enemy has no authority over you, for "the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world" (1 John 4:4 WEB). We break every chain of oppression, every stronghold of darkness, and every assignment of the enemy against your mind, your family, and your identity in Christ. We plead the blood of Jesus over your heart, your thoughts, and your household, for it is written, "They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony" (Revelation 12:11 WEB).

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of our brother/sister in Christ. We ask that You would surround them with Your presence, fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We ask that You would strengthen them with might by Your Spirit in their inner being, so that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17 WEB). Father, we pray that You would renew their mind, transform their thoughts, and align them with Your truth. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105 WEB).

We pray that You would bind the strong man in their life and plunder his goods (Matthew 12:29 WEB). Break every chain of generational bondage, every curse, and every assignment of the enemy against their family. We declare that their household is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10 WEB). Father, we ask that You would restore their joy, renew their strength, and fill them with hope. Remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14 WEB), that they are Your beloved child, and that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39 WEB).

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, even when the battle feels intense. The enemy wants you to isolate yourself, but remember that you are not alone. "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1 WEB). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. Fill your mind with the truth of God’s Word, for it is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12 WEB). When the enemy attacks with lies, counter him with the truth of Scripture. Speak aloud the promises of God over your life and your family.

We also encourage you to examine your heart and life for any areas that may have given the enemy a foothold. Are there unconfessed sins, bitterness, unforgiveness, or areas where you have not fully surrendered to God? The Bible tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). Do not carry the weight of guilt or shame, for Jesus bore it all on the cross. If there are areas where you have strayed, repent and turn back to God, for He is faithful to forgive and restore.

Continue to fast and pray, for these are powerful weapons in the spiritual battle. But also remember to care for your physical body, for it is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB). Do not neglect rest, nourishment, and the support of your church community. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He will fight for you (Exodus 14:14 WEB). Trust in Him, lean not on your own understanding, and in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).

Finally, we remind you that your identity is found in Christ alone. The enemy wants to distort your view of yourself, but God says you are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works (Ephesians 2:10 WEB). You are chosen, holy, and dearly loved (Colossians 3:12 WEB). You are a new creation in Christ; the old has passed away, and behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB). Stand firm in this truth, and do not let the enemy steal your joy or your peace.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has overcome the world. Amen.

We hear the exhaustion in your words, and the weight of carrying these battles alone. It is not weakness to reach the end of your own strength, it is often the place where we finally let Christ carry us. The enemy does target minds, identities, and families, and at times the assault can feel relentless. But you are not abandoned to these thoughts, and you are not fighting by your own willpower.

Fasting can be a meaningful act of humility before God, but it is not a battery we recharge by trying harder. When strength is gone, the Spirit intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words, even when our prayers feel like only pain. That truth does not dismiss the suffering, but it grounds us: the battle belongs to the Lord, and your role is to cling, not to conquer by grit.

One concrete step that can make a real difference is to ask your pastor or a prayerfully mature friend to stand with you regularly, perhaps once a week, to pray over you and your family. Isolation fuels torment, while even a simple, consistent meeting in Jesus’ name pushes back the darkness. There is no need to explain every detail; just knowing someone else is praying with authority for your covering can bring steadiness.

We pray with you now:

Lord Jesus, we bring our friend before You, worn and weighed down. We plead Your blood over every part of them, their heart, their mind, their family. Silence the accusing voices and break any chain the enemy has used to bind them. Where lies have lodged, replace them with Your steady truth. Grant them moments of quiet, even in the storm, and connect them with a companion who will armor them with prayer. We ask not because of our own strength, but because You have overcome the world. Amen.

Let your soul look away from the clamor of those dark thoughts to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than the cry of your own pain. The blood of Jesus does not cry for vengeance, as Abel’s did, but for mercy and full remission. It is the seal of the everlasting covenant, and it covers every corner of a believer, heart, mind, and household. When the enemy hurls a vile, intrusive thought against you, remember that sin spent itself upon the cross and can no more damn a soul that rests in Christ than a spent arrow can wound a soldier now out of range.

Your fasting, your weariness, the assault upon your identity, these are the battles of a child of God, not a stranger to grace. But deliverance is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy. Cry to the Lord, and He will send forth His arrows of deliverance. His thoughts are not your thoughts; where you see only a pit of despair, He has already found a ransom. He that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the everlasting covenant, will make you perfect in every good work to do His will. Yield up the fight to Him; plead the blood, and then rest there, for it is the root and ground of all delight. Darkness cannot remain where the light of His countenance is lifted up. He has broken the chains of Egypt before, and He will bring you forth by a miracle of grace. Only trust, and you shall yet sing songs of deliverance.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is no small grace that you perceive these thoughts as foreign intruders, not the voice of your own heart. The devil does indeed assault the soul with such foul imaginings, seeking to make you believe that the sewer is your true habitation. But you are not those thoughts, any more than a man chained in a prison is the vermin that crawl upon him. When a demoniac gashed himself with stones, we pitied him because madness had stolen his reason; but the enemy now attempts to do worse, to make you hate yourself by stamping his own filth upon your mind. Recognize the counterfeit and despise it.

You have fasted, and that is a weapon, yet you are spent. Do not imagine that bodily discipline alone overthrows spirits. The blood of Christ is our cleansing. The Law required blood for the smallest remission, and those rites were shadows. Now the blood of the eternal covenant has been outpoured: “This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” Flee to that fountain. Cry out that the destroying angel would pass over your household, marking the doorposts of your mind with this blood, which renders the enemy powerless.

But you must not fight in isolation. The devil is a beast that stalks the solitary. When he sees a sheep separated from the flock, he pounces. The Spirit led even the Lord into the wilderness for temptation, yet He did not remain there; He taught us to gather together. Your greatest necessity now is to press into the assembly of the brethren. Confess your struggle openly where the Church can lay hands upon you and pray. The chains of the enemy are broken not in secret but in the light of the community, where two or three agree and Christ stands in the midst. “Let us come before his face with confession,” for shame is a heavier chain than the sin itself, and the devil would have you nurse it in silence until it rusts upon your soul.

Consider what true captivity is. Men load themselves with golden trinkets, thinking themselves adorned, yet these are but heavy shackles if the heart is not fastened to Christ. The Apostle, however, stood bound in an iron fetter before a king, and his chains shone brighter than any royal purple. Why? Because the chain that binds us to Christ shatters every other. If you will take the chain of His love and bind yourself fast to Him, these accusing thoughts will lose their sting. They are phantoms, real in their torment but empty of substance. You are not what the tempter suggests; you are an image of God, purchased at infinite cost.

Persevere, then, not by your own strength but by clinging to the Cross. Let the prayer of the faithful surround you like wings. Plead the blood of Jesus over your mind, your heart, your household, and the enemy will flee, for He who overcame death has trodden down all the power of the adversary. You are not abandoned. Stand fast, and you will see the salvation of the Lord.
