Beloved of All
Dear brothers and sisters, I have been writing to raise a safeguarding matter, this is a terrifying thing to do, often it seems that people who speak up are punished, and I am vulnerable. I spoke in anger to the perpetrator as he harmed me as well as others, and I'm scared of getting into trouble even though I apologised and he is without remorse for his actions and even makes it clear he doesn't feel conscience and doesn't need to. Please pray for my safety in Jesus' Name and that safeguarding is put in place. Amen

We hear your heart and we stand with you in this terrifying and vulnerable place, and we thank you for your courage in speaking up to raise a safeguarding matter even when it feels that those who speak up are punished. What you have done in seeking protection for yourself and for others is right and good in the sight of God, for He calls us to defend those who cannot defend themselves.

The Word tells us to Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate Proverbs 31:8 and to Defend the weak and fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked Psalm 82:3-4. We also hear that you spoke in anger to the one who harmed you and others, and that you have already apologised for that anger. We want to gently remind you that anger in response to injustice and harm is human, and Scripture says Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your wrath Ephesians 4:26. Your apology shows a humble and repentant heart, and we cling to the promise that If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. God has forgiven you, and a proper safeguarding process will rightly distinguish between a moment of anger under provocation and a pattern of harmful, unrepentant behavior.

We must also speak plainly about the perpetrator you describe, who is without remorse and declares he feels no conscience and does not need to. This hardness of heart is not of God and must be rebuked, for God calls all to repentance and to turn from doing harm. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, as it is written Do not seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19, yet He also ordains authorities and safeguarding measures to protect the vulnerable and to bring justice in this life. We pray that any lack of conscience would be exposed and that he would be brought to true repentance, but more importantly we pray that boundaries and protection are put in place immediately so that no further harm can be done.

We understand your fear of getting into trouble, but please be assured that God sees your heart and your motive was to protect. He is your refuge. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 and Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. We pray that the fear that now grips you would be replaced with His peace and courage, for God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, and we hold to His promise Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or scared of them, for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you Deuteronomy 31:6.

We encourage you to not walk through this alone. Please keep a careful record of what has happened, keep copies of what you have reported, and continue to press for a proper safeguarding response with those whose duty it is to protect, whether that be designated safeguarding leads, pastoral oversight, or where a crime has been committed, the civil authorities. Bring a trusted, godly advocate with you so you are not isolated, and seek ongoing pastoral and where needed professional support for your own healing. Speaking the truth in love is not wrong, and you should not be punished for seeking safety.

We join our faith with yours now and pray together in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father and it is in His name we are heard.

Father in heaven, we lift up our dear one to You right now and ask for Your divine protection over them. Surround them with Your angels and with trustworthy people who will stand with them and not against them. Let no retaliation or punishment fall upon them for telling the truth. We ask that every safeguarding measure that is needed would be put in place swiftly and thoroughly, that those in authority would act with wisdom, impartiality, and diligence, and that the vulnerable, including our friend and the others who have been harmed, would be kept safe from further harm. We pray You would calm their fear, steady their heart, and remind them that You see all things and You are a God of justice and mercy. Bring conviction where there is hardness of heart, and bring healing where there has been wounding. Let Your perfect love cast out fear and let Your justice roll on like waters. We thank You that You have forgiven all that has been confessed and that You hold this precious one securely in Your hand. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We hear how heavy and frightening this has been for you, and we want to honor the courage it took to speak up, especially when you feel vulnerable and worry about being punished for doing the right thing. It makes sense that fear would be so strong, and also that anger would have come out when you were being harmed and saw others harmed too. The fact you apologized for speaking in anger says something about your conscience, and it is painful that the one who harmed you shows no remorse.

You asked us to pray for your safety and for safeguarding to be put in place, and we are praying for that with you. You deserve to be safe and to be heard without retaliation.

One steady next step that can help when you feel vulnerable is to not carry this alone. If you have a designated safeguarding lead or a trusted advocate, consider putting your concern in writing, keeping a dated copy somewhere safe outside your home if possible, and asking them to confirm in writing what steps will be taken to keep you and others safe. If you ever feel in immediate danger, please reach out right away to your local emergency services or a trusted person nearby.

Father, in Jesus name we ask You to surround this person with protection, give wisdom and clarity to everyone responsible for safeguarding, and let truth be handled with care and fairness. Bring peace where there is fear and steady support for the days ahead. Amen.

Your letter has been received with prayerful care, and we thank you for the courage it has taken to speak, though it has felt terrifying to do so. To raise a safeguarding matter when you feel vulnerable is a heavy burden, and it is right that you have spoken, for the Lord loves truth and He defends those who seek protection for themselves and for others.

Do not think that you will be punished for speaking the truth. The fear of man bringeth a snare, and such a snare that many feet have been tripped by it, but the Lord would have you labour to get rid of fear as much as possible, for He says, Fear not, for I will help thee. You have confessed that you spoke in anger to the one who harmed you, and that you have apologised. That very sorrow and apology shows a conscience tender before God, and there is forgiveness with Him through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. When justice comes and conscience clamours, we look to our Substitute who bore our sins, and justice itself, being satisfied in Him, declares that God is faithful and just to forgive. The one who shows no remorse and declares he has no need of conscience stands in a very different place, for the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and without it the heart remains hard. Your repentance is not a cause for trouble before God, but a mark of grace.

The Lord says so plentifully in His garden, Fear not. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord. Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God. It is not merely the preacher who cries Fear not, but Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant, Fear not. To be afraid in such a trial is natural, for sin and weakness remain in us, yet perfect love casteth out fear, and your safety lies not in being free from fear by your own strength, but in trusting Jesus. He is able to keep you from falling, and your safety lies in your Saviour, God our Saviour, who is as wise as He is able to keep you.

We pray for you now in Jesus Name, that the Lord will be your stronghold and that His name will be your defence. We ask that He will guard you from all harm, that He will calm your heart with His promise, Fear not, I have redeemed you, and that He will let safeguarding be rightly and swiftly put in place by those appointed to protect. May He give wisdom and integrity to all who hear your matter, that truth may be honoured and the vulnerable protected, and may He keep you from falling and present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.

Continue to keep your concern before those entrusted with safeguarding, and do not walk this path alone. Seek the support of trusted and proper persons in your church or wider safeguarding provision, and keep bringing your fear and your need before the Lord in prayer, for He will help you. We will continue to pray for your safety and for right action to be taken.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It takes great courage to speak up as you have done, especially when you feel vulnerable and afraid of being punished for telling the truth. Thank you for sharing this. What you have done in raising a safeguarding concern is right and important, even when it feels terrifying.

It is understandable that you spoke in anger when you were being harmed and when you saw others being harmed. Anger in the face of injustice is a human response, and the fact that you apologised shows humility and a desire to do what is right before God. Please do not be afraid that your apology will be held against you. God sees the heart, and He knows the difference between a moment of anger under pressure and a settled pattern of harm without remorse. The one who does wrong and feels no conscience and shows no remorse bears his own responsibility before God and before others.

Please hear this clearly. Doing what is right by seeking protection for yourself and for others is not something you should be punished for. Scripture teaches that righteousness places us in safety, and that the Lord is a stronghold for those who fear Him. When we walk in truth, we can trust Him to be our refuge, even when people around us may not respond as they should. Fear is natural in this situation, but you do not need to face it alone.

I am praying for you now in Jesus Name, the only Name by which we are saved and find safety.

Father, I lift this dear one to You. You see the fear and the vulnerability, and You know all that has happened. I ask that You would surround them with Your protection and give them perfect safety. Let safeguarding be put in place quickly and properly, and let those responsible for protecting others act with wisdom, care and justice. Give courage to everyone who must hear and act on this matter, and let truth be clearly seen. Bring peace to a troubled conscience, comfort to a frightened heart, and assurance that to do what is right is pleasing to You. Guard them from any retaliation or harm, and let them know they are not alone. In the Name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.

Please, as you are able, make sure this matter is with the proper safeguarding people in your church and, where needed, with the appropriate authorities outside the church who are trained to protect the vulnerable. If you have a trusted safeguarding lead, pastor, or advocate, stay in close contact with them and let them know of your ongoing concern for safety. Keep a record of what has happened and what has been said. If you feel in immediate danger, please seek help right away from someone you trust and from those whose role it is to keep people safe.

You have done the right thing by speaking. Continue to seek the Lord, who sees what is done in secret and who defends those who are vulnerable. He is near to you, and He will not leave you without help. I will continue to pray for your safety and for justice and protection to be established.

Thank you for sharing something so difficult and frightening. It takes real courage to speak up when you have been harmed and when you have seen others harmed, especially when you feel vulnerable and worry that speaking the truth will bring punishment on you instead of protection.

What you have described helps show why Scripture says the fear of the Lord is the beginning and the sum of wisdom, and that to fear the Lord is to hate evil and to turn away from it. Loving what God loves and hating what God hates is at the heart of knowing Him. When harm is done without remorse and without conscience, it is right to name it as evil and to want it stopped. The fact that you spoke in anger and then apologized does not cancel the need for truth and for safety. God sees the difference between a moment of anger under great distress that is confessed, and a settled lack of remorse that refuses to acknowledge wrong.

Your fear is understandable, and Scripture speaks directly to it. Fear often grows when we lose the sense of God's presence, and faith grows when we remember that He is with us. That is why David could say though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for you are with me. The presence of God is what quiets fear. Fear and faith cannot rule the heart at the same time. Where fear is allowed to take over, faith is pushed aside, and where faith and the conscious knowledge that God is near are strengthened, fear loses its hold.

The Lord has not despised or turned away from the affliction of the afflicted. When the afflicted cries out, He hears. He is light and salvation and strength, and because of that we can ask whom shall I fear and of whom shall I be afraid. He promises to be with His people and to be their confidence, to keep their foot from being taken even when sudden fear or the desolation that comes on the wicked draws near. The fear of people brings a trap, but whoever puts trust in the Lord is safe.

This does not mean we ignore wise and practical steps. We are to do what is wise and prudent, but not out of panic or because an enemy tries to use fear to control us. Abiding in Christ is the place of safety, and He is our protection and defense. Part of walking in wisdom is seeking real safeguarding help through trustworthy and responsible people who can act to protect you and others, so that clear boundaries and proper protection are put in place.

I am praying for you in the name of Jesus for safety, for peace that steadies your heart, and for effective safeguarding to be established quickly and firmly. I pray that those with responsibility to protect will listen well, act justly, and provide the care and accountability that is needed, that you will be kept from harm and from retaliation, and that you will know more and more the nearness of God who hears your cry, who hates evil, and who hides His people in His care in the time of trouble.
