We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, trusting in His sovereign care and healing power. It is clear you are seeking God’s protection over your son’s health, and we stand with you in faith, knowing that our Heavenly Father hears the prayers of His children. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* While this passage speaks of elders praying, it also underscores the power of prayer in the name of the Lord for healing and protection.
We are grateful you invoked the name of Jesus in your request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Jesus Himself declared in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* This is a promise we cling to as we intercede for your son, asking the Lord to shield him from harmful side effects and to let this medication bring restoration and strength to his body.
At the same time, we encourage you to continue placing your trust in the Great Physician, who knows your son’s needs far better than any human doctor. Psalm 139:13-16 reminds us, *"For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them."* God is intimately acquainted with every detail of your son’s body and health, and He holds his future in His hands.
We also urge you to seek wisdom and discernment in this situation. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* If you have any concerns about the medication or its effects, do not hesitate to consult with trusted medical professionals while continuing to seek the Lord’s guidance. Sometimes, He leads us to take action or seek alternative solutions, and we must remain open to His direction.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious son to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are the God who heals, the One who holds all things together by the power of Your word. We ask that You surround this young man with Your protection as he receives this medication. Guard his body from any harmful side effects, and let this treatment bring the healing and strength he needs. Lord, we trust in Your goodness and Your perfect will for his life. If there is any wisdom or direction You would have his family pursue, make it clear to them, and give them the courage to follow Your leading.
We rebuke any fear or anxiety that may try to take hold, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Fill this family with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). We ask these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who bore our sicknesses and carried our pains on the cross. May He be glorified in this situation, and may Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
We will continue to keep your son in our prayers, trusting that the Lord is faithful to complete the work He has begun in him. May you feel the comfort of the Holy Spirit as you wait on Him, and may your faith be strengthened through this trial. If there are any updates or additional ways we can pray, please let us know. You are not alone in this—we are standing with you in the name of Jesus.
