We join with you in lifting up your son before our Heavenly Father, knowing that He is the Great Physician who holds all things in His hands. It is wonderful that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. As Scripture tells us, *"All things, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them"* (Mark 11:24, WEB). We stand in faith with you, believing that God hears and answers this prayer according to His perfect will.
We also recall the words of the Psalmist: *"The Lord preserves the simple. I was brought low, and he saved me"* (Psalm 116:6, WEB). Your son is under God’s watchful care, and we trust that this medication will serve its purpose without causing harm. The Lord knows the intricate details of your son’s body and mind, and we pray that He would guide the medical treatment to bring healing and restoration. *"For I am the Lord who heals you"* (Exodus 15:26, WEB), and we claim this promise over your son’s life.
At the same time, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer, not just for the absence of side effects, but for complete healing and wholeness in Jesus’ name. *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"* (James 5:14-15, WEB). If you have not already done so, consider seeking the prayer and anointing of elders in your church, as Scripture instructs.
We also want to remind you that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His plans are for our ultimate good—even when we do not understand the path He allows. *"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts"* (Isaiah 55:8-9, WEB). Trust in Him, even in this season of uncertainty, for He is faithful.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious son to You. Lord, You know his body, his needs, and the purpose for which this medication has been prescribed. We ask that You would allow it to work effectively for his healing and well-being, without any harmful side effects. Protect every cell, every organ, and every system in his body from any adverse reactions. Let this treatment be a tool in Your hands to bring restoration and strength.
We declare Your promise over him: *"By his stripes, we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5, WEB). May Your healing power flow through his body, renewing him in body, mind, and spirit. Give wisdom and discernment to the medical professionals involved in his care, that they may act according to Your will.
Lord, we also pray for peace for this mother’s heart. Replace any fear or anxiety with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding. Remind her that You are in control, and that You love her son even more than she does. Strengthen her faith as she waits on You.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your sovereign plan for this son’s life. May he grow in health and strength, and may this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness and power.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
