We hear your cry for help in this time of financial distress, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking the Lord’s provision and mercy. The weight of financial burdens can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
First, let us examine our hearts and lives to ensure we are walking in alignment with God’s principles. The Bible warns us that the love of money can lead to all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10), but it also teaches us to seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that all these things—including our material needs—will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33). Are we tithing faithfully, even in scarcity? Malachi 3:10 challenges us to bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in God’s house, and then to test Him in this, promising that He will open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing so great we won’t have room enough to receive it.
