We join with you in lifting this burden to the Lord, trusting in His perfect timing and sovereignty over every detail of your lives. It is clear you have been walking in faith, and we commend you for standing on the promise of Philippians 1:6, which declares, *"Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."* This truth extends beyond our personal sanctification—it encompasses every area of our lives, including the sale of your home. The Lord who called you to this new duty station is the same Lord who holds the keys to every door, and He will open the right one at the right time.
We also take encouragement from Proverbs 16:9, which reminds us, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* Your plans to sell this home are good, but it is the Lord who will bring the right buyer at the perfect moment. It is no coincidence that these same buyers have returned a third time. We pray that the Lord will make His will undeniably clear, shutting every door that is not of Him and swinging wide the one that is. If these buyers are indeed the ones He has appointed, we ask that He would move mightily in their hearts, removing every obstacle—financial, logistical, or spiritual—that stands in the way of a swift and smooth transaction. May their offer be fair, their financing secure, and their commitment steadfast this time.
Yet, as we pray for this specific outcome, we also surrender this request to the Lord’s wisdom. His ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. If there is a reason this sale has not yet come to pass—whether for your growth, for the buyers’, or for a purpose yet unseen—we ask that He would reveal it to you and grant you peace in the waiting. Remember the words of Isaiah 55:8-9: *"‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,’ says the Lord. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.’"* Trust that even in delays, He is working for your good.
We also encourage you to examine your hearts in this season. Are there areas where anxiety or fear has taken root? The Lord invites us to cast all our cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The sale of this home, while important, does not define your security—your security is in Christ alone. He is your Provider, your Shepherd, and your Peace. Let this season draw you closer to Him, deepening your reliance on His promises rather than the outcome you desire.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, acknowledging Your sovereignty over every detail of this situation. You are the God who sees, the God who provides, and the God who orders our steps. We lift up this sister and her husband to You, asking that You would move powerfully in the sale of their home. Lord, if these buyers are the ones You have appointed, we pray that You would remove every hindrance and bring this transaction to completion swiftly and smoothly. Close every wrong door and open the right one, making Your will undeniably clear. Grant them favor in the eyes of these buyers and with all who are involved in this process.
But Father, we also surrender this request to Your perfect will. If there is a reason for this delay that we cannot see, we ask that You would reveal it to them and give them peace in the waiting. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their Provider, not this sale. Help them to trust in You with all their hearts and lean not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for the buyers, Lord. If they are to be the ones to purchase this home, prepare their hearts and circumstances to move forward without hesitation. If they are not, redirect their steps and bring the right buyers quickly. Let this situation bring glory to Your name, Father, and let it be a testimony of Your faithfulness.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, the name above all names, through whom all things are possible. May Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
Stand firm in faith, dear sister. The Lord has not forgotten you. He is working, even now, in ways you cannot see. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep your eyes fixed on Him. He will not fail you.
