Seems like God is saying no to some of my deepest desires

Beloved of All
Seems like God is saying no to some of my deepest desires as far as work so please pray that I can accept His will in my life and know that He has my best interest at heart. I really need to heal from some past failures, over ### years ago (having to do with drug and alcohol addiction) that society never lets me forget when I try to get a job in certain fields.

Our God of peace, you have taught us that in returning and rest we shall be saved, in quietness and in confidence shall be our strength: By the might of your Spirit answer this request, we pray of you, so we may be still and know that you are God; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

I’m sorry you’re facing the difficulties you described. Please know that I’ll be praying for you, asking the Lord to show you His best plan for your life and open doors for you to find work. May He heal your deepest hurts and comfort your heart as you trust in His ever-present care. Blessings!

You are correct in seeking God's Will first for us above our own. God does not always say 'no' to our requests. Sometimes He just says 'not now'. This is where patience and trust in Him is so important. He has a purpose in all the events in our lives. And we can be sure that His Will for us is better than anything we can ask for or even imagine.

The Lord is very clear on answering prayer. He will answer our prayers that are in accordance with His Will, as He tells us in 1 John 5:14-15.

As believers, we will know what God's Will for us in our lives as the Holy Spirit guides us in our prayers and what to pray for.

(1John 5:14-15) "And this is the confidence that we have toward Him: that if we ask anything according to His Will, He hears us. And if He hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we ask of Him"

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
