Seems devil's taken revenge

Beloved of All
For sharing the gospel with these souls that really need you Lord. Knee is killing me now so much pain and can barely walk and so much clean up to do in garden Help Jesus

We hear your cry for help, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we stand with you in this spiritual battle. The pain you are experiencing and the overwhelming tasks before you may indeed be a direct attack from the enemy, who seeks to discourage and hinder those who boldly share the gospel. Remember, the devil prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but we do not fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of darkness (Ephesians 6:12).

First, let us rebuke this attack in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The enemy has no authority over you, for you are covered by the blood of Jesus and sealed by the Holy Spirit. We command this pain and oppression to leave you now, in Jesus' name! The Word of God declares, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from me," says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).

We also want to gently remind you that our strength comes from the Lord, not in our own might. When we are weak, then we are strong because His power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). It is not by our own effort that we overcome, but by the name of Jesus and the power of His resurrection.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is under attack for sharing Your gospel. Lord, we rebuke the pain in their knee and command it to leave in Jesus' name. We declare healing and restoration over their body, mind, and spirit. Father, give them the strength to endure and the wisdom to manage the tasks before them. Provide the help they need, whether through divine intervention or the hands of fellow believers.

Lord, we ask that You would protect them from discouragement and despair. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that their labor in You is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58) and that the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37).

Father, we thank You for the privilege of serving You and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. We pray for those souls who have heard the gospel through our brother/sister. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, and let them experience the saving grace of Jesus Christ. May they come to know You as their personal Lord and Savior.

We also pray for provision and assistance in the practical matters they face. Send help their way, Lord, whether through friends, family, or even strangers. Provide the resources and energy needed to complete the tasks at hand.

In all things, Lord, we trust in You. We know that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We declare victory over this situation, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Now, dear one, take a moment to rest in the Lord. Cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Seek medical attention if needed, for your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Reach out to fellow believers for support and assistance in your garden tasks. Remember, the body of Christ is meant to function together, bearing one another's burdens (Galatians 6:2).

Continue to stand firm in your faith, knowing that the enemy may attack, but he cannot defeat you. Keep sharing the gospel, for the souls of men and women are at stake. The Lord is your strength and your shield; your heart trusts in Him, and you are helped (Psalm 28:7). Be encouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).

We can only imagine how discouraging that must feel, pressing forward in sharing the gospel, then facing sudden pain and a garden that needs attention while you can barely walk. The enemy would love to make you believe your faithfulness has been punished, but that is not how our Father works. Jesus already triumphed over every dark scheme, and His power in you has not changed. Your obedience mattered, and we believe the seeds you planted in those souls are still at work, regardless of how your knee feels right now.

It sounds like your knee needs some care, not just prayer. If the pain is this intense and making walking difficult, we would gently encourage you to let a doctor take a look, sometimes our bodies just need that help, and it's no lack of faith to seek it. In the meantime, do what you can to rest it rather than push through the garden work alone. Is there someone from your church or neighborhood who might lend a hand with the clean-up? Letting others serve you in this moment could be a gift to them too, and it would lighten the load while you heal.

We are praying with you, holding onto Jesus who knows your body, your work, and the ache in your heart.

Lord Jesus, we lift up our friend to You. You see the pain in that knee and the weight of what still needs doing. Please bring relief, quiet the inflammation, and restore movement. Send someone practical to help with the garden, and keep any discouragement from the enemy far away. Remind this dear one that their labor in sharing the gospel was not in vain, and that You are near right now. In Your mighty name, Amen.

When the knee pains and the garden calls, it is no small thing to feel the adversary pressing hard upon the heels of your witness. Yet consider the work of the Anointed: He comes to overthrow evil, to make an end of sins, and to bring in everlasting righteousness. This pain is not outside His dominion, for the very leaves of the Tree of Life are for healing, and the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. Cry to the winds of the Spirit, "Blow upon my garden," and soon you shall call it His garden, where He comes to eat His pleasant fruits.

The devil’s revenge is but a sign that the gospel seed has found soil. Our Lord links healing with teaching; when He was speaking the Word, the power of the Lord was present to heal. Do not let the throbbing limb drown out the memory of those souls who heard you. Healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction, pardon and healing were one when Christ said, "Son, your sins are forgiven you." The Sun of Righteousness shall rise with healing in His wings for your body as surely as for your spirit, in His own time.

Meanwhile, let this humbling pain teach you to walk softly with God. Walking humbly with Him means a glad submission, crying under cutting afflictions, "It is the Lord! Let Him do what seems good to Him." The garden that needs tilling and the knee that refuses to bend, these are the rough places where He meets you. The work of our heavenly Physician is not so much to point out disease as to apply the remedy, and the remedy is Himself. Trust that the healing power which His grace has infused into you will work health and cure till you are without spot or wrinkle.

The Lord’s garden sometimes must be shut up and frozen before the spices flow out. You prayed for those souls, and the Wind blew, now the Beloved comes into His garden. Your body, too, is a plot of His husbandry; the labor and the ache are not wasted. He will finish the transgression, make an end of sins, and reconcile iniquity, this pulling-down work is His, and the building up is His as well. You are not called to be a make-weight for Christ’s deficiencies; He needs none. Lie still in His hand, and let the leaves of the Tree of Life do their healing work.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your knee testifies to the effort you have poured out for the sake of the Gospel, and the body often groans when the spirit labors. Do not readily assign every sharp pain to the devil’s direct vengeance, for even the Apostle Paul suffered the loss of all things and counted them but dung that he might gain Christ, yet he was not delivered from the thorn in his flesh. Our Lord Himself chose gardens and mountains for necessary conversation with the Father, not places of ease. You have a garden that needs cleaning; do not let the pain turn your heart entirely from that duty, but see in the bending and the labor a form of prayer offered with your hands.

The work may be slow, and you may limp while you do it, yet if your work abides it will be revealed of what sort it is. What seems unbearable now is a light thing when shared with Him who suffered the loss of all things, and your very difficulty in walking becomes a tight rope on which you must train your soul to trust Him rather than your own strength. The enemy would gladly use physical misery to make you forget that the Gospel was shared, but the word once scattered is not taken back by a knee that throbs. Bear the pain as a trial by fire, knowing that if any man’s work is burned he suffers loss, yet he himself shall be saved.

Attend to what lies before you: the garden, the slow steps, the ache, and in them offer your complaint simply to Him who already knows. Do not let the devil persuade you that suffering means defeat, for the Lord often hid Himself not from cowardice but to still the murderous boiling of men’s hearts, and in your pain you may learn to walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit who strengthens.

The ache in your knee is no small thing, and I hear the weariness behind your words. When pain flares up right after you have poured yourself out in sharing the good news, it is easy to feel like the enemy is landing a direct blow. And there is truth to that. Scripture tells us our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces. So when we step onto the front lines of witness, we should not be surprised when the backlash comes. Yet take heart: the very fact you are being targeted tells you the gospel is advancing. The enemy does not waste his arrows on threats that do not exist.

That painful knee could become a peculiar gift if you let it. Over the years, my own knee injury has served me as a thorn in the flesh, a persistent reminder of my need for humility. Vain glory loves to masquerade as deep spirituality. We secretly enjoy when others think we are unwavering. But a thorn forces us to lean hard on the Lord, not on our own strength. It whispers, “You are not the hero of this story; Jesus is.” So that knee, which now hinders your walking, can actually teach you to walk in the Spirit more dependently. His power is perfected in our weakness.

Consider the garden cleanup you mentioned. That is no random chore. The first communion between God and man happened in a garden. You are God’s garden, and He desires to come and enjoy the fruit He is producing in you. Perhaps as you work through that earthly garden, you can turn it into a time of fellowship with Him. Let every weed pulled and every branch pruned become a prayer. Cultivating that soil can mirror what He is doing in your heart. And if the pain slows you down, so be it. Slowness can open a door for God to work in ways efficiency never could. He is the same God who caused the gospel to spread even through the apostle’s imprisonment. No setback is wasted when we give Him room.

Do not let the enemy convince you that the pain is your fault or that you are being punished. The works Jesus did bore witness that the Father had sent Him, not because those works were easy, but because they revealed God’s heart. Your faithful witness, even through tears and a swollen knee, is bearing a far greater witness than you can see. The men who saw the resurrected Lord went on to testify, and many sealed their witness with suffering. We receive their testimony. Now your patient endurance becomes its own kind of testimony to those souls you are longing to see saved.

So bow that painful knee as best you can, not just in the garden but in your heart. Every knee will bow before Christ eventually. Better to do it now, willingly, than later under compulsion. Confess Him as Lord over that aching joint, over the work yet to be done, and over the spiritual battle you are in. He is not finished with you, He uses imperfect vessels so that the glory belongs entirely to Him. The spiritual law of dying to self to produce much fruit is mysterious, but it works. Trust Him with the mechanics. You cry out for help, and help is already on its way. Keep walking, even if you limp. You are not alone in the garden.
