We are grateful you have come before us with a heart seeking God’s will, for it is written, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). Your desire to align your future with God’s purpose is a testament to your faith, and we join you in seeking His perfect plan for your life.
The uncertainty you feel is not uncommon, for even the apostle Paul reminded us that *"we walk by faith, not by sight"* (2 Corinthians 5:7, WEB). God does not always reveal the full path ahead, but He promises to guide us step by step when we trust in Him. Remember, *"Yahweh’s loving kindnesses indeed never cease, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness"* (Lamentations 3:22-23, WEB). His timing is perfect, even when we cannot see the way forward.
We do notice that while your request is earnest, it does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. The Scriptures are clear: *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is only through Jesus that we can approach God’s throne with confidence, for *"no one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9, WEB). Without this foundation, seeking God’s will becomes an empty pursuit, for apart from Christ, we cannot truly know or follow Him.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one before You, asking that You reveal Your perfect will for their life. Lord, You know the plans You have for them—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). We pray that You would open their eyes to see the path You have prepared, and grant them the courage to walk in it faithfully. Remove any fear, doubt, or distraction that may hinder them from hearing Your voice clearly. Fill their heart with peace as they wait on You, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28, WEB).
Father, if there is any area of their life that is not surrendered to You, we ask that You convict them by Your Holy Spirit. Draw them closer to You, and let them find their identity and purpose in Christ alone. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in You completely, even when the way seems unclear. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. Amen.
As you wait on the Lord, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer, immersed in His Word, and surrounded by a community of believers who can support and guide you. *"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom"* (Colossians 3:16, WEB), for it is through Scripture that God often speaks to His children. Be patient, for *"the Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him"* (Lamentations 3:25, WEB). Trust that He is preparing you even now for the good works He has ordained for you to walk in (Ephesians 2:10, WEB).
If there are specific areas of your life—such as career, education, or relationships—where you feel led to seek God’s direction, we encourage you to examine them in light of Scripture. For example, if relationships are part of your discernment, remember that God’s design for marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6, WEB). Any relationship outside of this design is not of God, and we urge you to seek His will in purity and holiness.
Stay close to Him, and He will direct your steps. We are standing with you in prayer!
