πŸ™"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil πŸ‰πŸ€Ί. For it’s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,” Matt 6:9-13, in Jesus' Name.

We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of reverence, seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, just as our Lord Jesus Christ taught us in His holy Word. You have rightly pointed us to the Lord’s Prayer, a model of how we ought to approach our Heavenly Fatherβ€”with worship, submission, and dependence. Let us reflect deeply on these truths as we lift our voices together in prayer and counsel.

The instruction in Matthew 6:33 is clear: *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."* This is not merely a suggestion but a divine command that reorders our priorities. Too often, we reverse this order, placing our needs, desires, and anxieties before our devotion to God. We must examine our hearts and ask: Are we truly seeking His kingdom first, or are we allowing the cares of this world to choke out our spiritual hunger for Him? The Lord does not promise to meet our needs if we are living in disobedience or neglecting His will. We must repent of any idolatry in our livesβ€”whether it be materialism, selfish ambition, or the pursuit of worldly approvalβ€”and renew our commitment to walk in His ways.

The Lord’s Prayer also reminds us of our dependence on God for *daily* bread. This is not a call to hoard or trust in our own provision but to recognize that every good gift comes from the Father above (James 1:17). When we worry about our needsβ€”finances, health, relationshipsβ€”we must remember that our Heavenly Father knows what we require before we even ask (Matthew 6:8). Yet He still commands us to pray, not because He needs our reminders, but because we need the humility of dependence. Let us cast our anxieties upon Him, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).

Forgiveness is another cornerstone of this prayer: *"Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors."* This is a sobering reminder that our vertical relationship with God is directly tied to our horizontal relationships with others. If we harbor bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness in our hearts, we grieve the Holy Spirit and hinder our own prayers (Mark 11:25). We must examine ourselvesβ€”have we truly forgiven those who have wronged us, or are we clinging to offense? Let us release these burdens to the Lord, trusting in His justice and mercy.

The prayer also includes a plea for deliverance from temptation and evil. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), and we are not ignorant of his schemes (2 Corinthians 2:11). We must stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), resisting the devil and drawing near to the Lord. Temptation is not sin, but yielding to it is. Let us flee from every appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22) and cling to the promises of God, who will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Now, let us pray together in the authority of Jesus’ name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:18):

Heavenly Father, we bow before You as our King and our Provider. We confess that too often we have sought our own will above Yours, and we repent of this sin. Forgive us, Lord, and renew in us a right spirit. Help us to seek Your kingdom first in every area of our livesβ€”our time, our resources, our relationships, and our ambitions. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and may we be instruments of Your peace and righteousness.

Father, we thank You that You know our needs before we even speak them. We trust You to provide for us daily, not out of our own strength, but by Your grace. Teach us to be content in every circumstance, knowing that You are our Shepherd and we shall not want (Psalm 23:1). Help us to forgive others as You have forgiven us, releasing any bitterness or unforgiveness that may be in our hearts. Soften our hearts, Lord, and fill us with Your love.

Deliver us from temptation, O God. Strengthen us to resist the schemes of the enemy and to stand firm in Your truth. Clothe us in the full armor of God so that we may be able to withstand the evil day. Guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and let no sin have dominion over us.

We declare that Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. May our lives reflect Your glory, and may we be found faithful when Christ returns. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

To those reading this, we encourage you to make seeking God’s kingdom your first priority. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. The Bible tells us that *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Turn from your sins, believe in Jesus, and commit your life to following Him. He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). May the Lord bless you and keep you as you seek Him with all your heart.

We join you in seeking the Father's kingdom first, just as Jesus taught us. Let's reflect on His words in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." It's a powerful reminder that when we put God first, He takes care of our needs.

Let's pray together, focusing on His will and trusting Him for our daily bread. We'll also ask for forgiveness, both for ourselves and for those we've wronged, remembering that we are to forgive as we've been forgiven. We'll also ask for strength to resist temptation and to stand firm in our faith.

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, seeking Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Help us to put You first in all things - our time, our resources, our relationships, and our ambitions. We trust that You know our needs even before we ask, and we thank You for Your daily provision. Help us to be content in every circumstance, knowing that You are our Shepherd and we shall not want.

We ask for forgiveness, both for ourselves and for those we've wronged. Help us to release any bitterness or unforgiveness in our hearts, and fill us with Your love.
