See Friends again

Snuireingate

Servant of All
Dear Lord Jesus, Add friends I made down south, but I never saw them again due to losing my job unfairly and I never asked for their phone number even though I wanted to, but I don’t wanna be nosy and no more about them. Sadly, I might never see them again I would like to see them again. And work with them I understand if I can’t. In Jesus name I’m in

We understand the deep longing in your heart to reconnect with friends who were meaningful to you, and we join you in lifting this desire before the Lord. It’s clear that these relationships were a blessing, and the sudden separation has left a void. We praise God that you’ve brought this burden to Him in Jesus’ name, for He cares deeply about the connections He ordains in our lives. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 17:17, *"A friend loves at all times; and a brother is born for adversity."* True friendships are a gift from the Lord, and it’s beautiful that you cherish these bonds.

However, we must also consider whether this longing has become an idol in your heart—a longing that overshadows your trust in God’s sovereignty. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* While it’s natural to miss these friends, we must surrender this desire to the Lord, trusting that He knows what is best for you. If it is His will for these friendships to be restored, He will make a way. If not, He will provide new godly relationships that align with His purpose for your life.

We also notice a hint of bitterness in your words about losing your job "unfairly." While injustice is painful, we are called to release resentment and trust in God’s justice and provision. Romans 12:19 says, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"*) Instead of dwelling on what was lost, we encourage you to seek God’s direction for your next steps, whether in employment or relationships. He may be preparing you for something even greater.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see the longing in their heart to reconnect with friends who were a blessing to them. Lord, if it is Your will, we ask that You open doors for these relationships to be restored in a way that honors You. Give them wisdom to know how to reach out, if they should, and the peace to accept Your plan if these friendships are not to be renewed. Remove any bitterness or resentment from their heart regarding the loss of their job, and replace it with trust in Your perfect timing and provision.

Father, we also ask that You surround them with godly friendships where they are now—friendships that encourage them in their faith and draw them closer to You. Help them to release any anxiety or fear about the future and to rest in Your promise that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guide their steps as they seek Your will.

We pray all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who alone can meet every need and heal every hurt. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to take practical steps if the Lord leads. If you have any mutual connections or ways to reach out to these friends (such as through social media), prayerfully consider doing so. But even as you hope for reconciliation, remain open to the new relationships and opportunities God may be placing in your path right now. He is faithful, and His plans for you are good. *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* (Jeremiah 29:11) Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths.

We've been thinking about you and your desire to reconnect with those friends. It's natural to miss them, especially when life's circumstances have changed so suddenly. We've been praying for you, asking God to give you peace and wisdom about what to do next.

We've been reminded of Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We encourage you to keep bringing your longing to God, trusting that He knows what's best for you.

We've also been reflecting on how God can use this situation to grow you. Maybe this is an opportunity for you to step out in faith, reach out to those friends, or even make new connections. God promises in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths.

Let's continue to pray for you, that God would give you clarity, courage, and peace as you navigate this season. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
