came on here because ive been struggling and it just felt right to ask for help. i have a very important examination very soon that will greatly help me and my family, but right now i feel so unprepared and i dont know how im going to learn all that ill need to pass and be accepted. ive been working hard towards this for a long time but suddenly now i feel so lost. please kindly pray for the Lord to guide my hands and mind that in the little time i have to become fully prepared, and that i qualify and my scholarship gets accepted. it feels so heavy and i feel so distracted right now and i dont know how any of this is going to work but i trust in the Lord and His plans. please pray for me and the success of all of this thank you and God bless you

We hear the weight of your burden, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your heart and this critical examination to the Lord. Your trust in His plans is not misplaced, He is faithful, and He sees the long hours you’ve already invested. The psalmist declares, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this" (Psalm 37:5 WEB). Even now, in this moment of overwhelm, He is working to steady your hands and sharpen your mind.

First, let us address the distraction and anxiety that threaten to cloud your focus. Scripture warns, "Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down" (Proverbs 12:25 WEB), but it also offers the remedy: "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you" (Psalm 55:22 WEB). You are not alone in this. The Holy Spirit is your Helper, and He will bring to remembrance what you need when the time comes (John 14:26). We rebuke the spirit of fear and confusion in Jesus’ name, it has no place in this season of preparation. Instead, we declare clarity, discipline, and divine recall over you.

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You as Your children, lifting up our brother/sister in this critical time. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, to honor You, provide for their family, and walk in the purpose You’ve set before them. We ask that You quiet their mind and grant them laser-like focus in these final days of study. Where they feel unprepared, fill in the gaps with Your wisdom. Where fatigue threatens, renew their strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Father, we ask that You open the doors of opportunity for this scholarship, that their name would be remembered favorably, and that their efforts would bear fruit for Your glory.

We also pray for discipline in their study habits. Help them to prioritize wisely, to rest when needed, and to reject the lies of the enemy that say, "You can’t do this." Remind them that "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13 WEB). Guard their heart from comparison or despair, and let them fix their eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Lord, we thank You for Your provision. Even before this exam, You knew the outcome, and You hold their future in Your hands. May they walk into that examination room with confidence, not in their own abilities, but in Your faithfulness. And when the time comes, may the results reflect Your favor and their hard work.

We also encourage you to break your study time into manageable segments, pairing it with prayer and Scripture to keep your heart anchored. Memorize key verses that speak to God’s faithfulness (like Jeremiah 29:11 or Proverbs 3:5-6) to combat moments of doubt. And remember, success is not just about the scholarship, it’s about glorifying God in the process. Whether you receive this opportunity or another, trust that He is guiding your steps.

Finally, if you have not already, we urge you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you’ve never surrendered your life to Him, we invite you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and commit to following Him. This is the foundation upon which all other blessings rest.

You are not forgotten, and this exam does not define your worth, your identity in Christ does. Press on, dear one. The Lord is with you.

But we also hear the steady thread of trust running through your request, and we're holding onto that with you.

In times like this, the gap between what we know God can do and what we feel able to do can feel enormous. The temptation is to let the anxiety convince us we're further behind than we really are. But you've been working toward this for a long time, that preparation hasn't disappeared. It's still in you, even if it's buried under the noise right now. One small, concrete step might be to simply take out a piece of paper and list the topics you already know well. Seeing your existing strengths on paper can quiet the panic just enough to let you plan the remaining days without being paralyzed.

Break the remaining time into small, manageable blocks, and as you begin each study session, offer it quietly to the Lord: "This hour is yours." You don't have to carry the whole weight at once. Trust doesn't always feel triumphant, sometimes it just looks like opening the next book when you'd rather give up. God meets us in that ordinary faithfulness.

Father, thank you that you see this student and know the burden they're carrying. Calm their heart and clear their mind. In the little time left, guide their focus to what truly matters, and give them steady recall of all they've already learned. We ask that the outcome of this exam opens the door for their family's provision, according to your good and loving will. Surround them with your peace that goes deeper than circumstances. How heavy this burden must seem, and yet the Lord permits it that you might learn to cast it wholly upon Him. The anxiety you feel, this sense of being unprepared and distracted, is itself the very thing that unfits you for the work. Have you not found that the more you fret, the less you can fix your mind upon your studies? Then cease from your own striving, and let your soul make its refuge in the shadow of His wings until these calamities pass. Only trust Him. If He has called you to this examination, He will also furnish you with all you need. His Divine guidance is not given to those who lean upon their own understanding, but to those who bow with submission to His will.

You say you trust in the Lord and His plans, then let that trust be active, not a mere word. The same God who drew you out of the waters of despair in times past will not fail you now. He led you to faith before, when you were too weary and despondent even to believe; He will lead you still. Your most essential need is the nearness of God to your soul. Cry to Him, “Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusts in You.” And then, having prayed, rise and do the work before you with diligence, knowing that your times are in His sovereign hand. If the scholarship is for your good and His glory, nothing can shut the door He has opened. If it is denied, it is still the hand of a loving Father. He who has promised to be the Author of eternal salvation to all who trust Him will not leave you to perish in a lesser trial. Go now, and only trust Him.

You carry a burden that feels too heavy for you, and in that distress you have done well to turn to God. But hear this: the terror you feel, the distraction that scatters your thoughts, the sudden sense of being lost, these come not because the task is beyond you, but because you have begun to lean on your own understanding. Remember Peter, who in the garden saw the Lord bound and yet forgot every proof of His care, because anxiety pressed hard upon him. He did not commit all to God, and so he sank. Learn from him that the soul which trusts to itself, even for a moment, will be overwhelmed. But look also at the tenderness of the Master. Even while He was a prisoner, He turned to lift up His fallen disciple with a single look, and that look launched Peter into a saving flood of tears. So do not imagine that your panic has escaped His notice or that your plea is too small. He sees your struggle, and He will raise you if you stop clutching at your own preparation as though it were a thing you could manufacture by sheer worry.

You say you have worked hard, yet now you feel unprepared. I ask you, what have you been feeding your soul in these last days? If you make provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts, you light a furnace that consumes your peace. But I do not mean only gross sins. That same furnace is stoked whenever you let your mind dwell on the outcome more than on the duty before you, when you crave the honor of success so much that the fear of failure steals your sleep. The present life is a sleep, and its anxieties are no different from dreams. A man who grows rich in a dream possesses nothing when he wakes, and a man who fears poverty in a dream finds himself a fool in the morning. Your scholarship, your qualifying, even the help you would bring your family, these are good things, but if you clutch at them as though your whole security lay in them, you will wake only to shame. Seek one thing first: the health of your soul. Do your study, yes, but as one who commits the result entirely into God’s hands, asking no question of the morrow, so that even if you fail, you will be rid of anxiety. For what is not in its essence evil cannot defile you unless you make it so by your intention.

Trust, then, does not mean you will have no work to do. It means you do the work as a steward, not as a beggar trying to force a gift. The time left is little? Good. Let that drive you not to panic but to simplicity. Prune away every distraction, every thought that says “What if?” Those thoughts are the provision for the lust of ambition and the lust of fear. Let your only provision be for what is necessary: a clear mind, a rested body, and a prayerful heart. While you study, say silently, “Lord, guide my hands and my mind, for I have no power of myself. What You will, that will I receive.” Do not despise the peace that comes from this surrender, for it is in that peace that the mind learns best. The world tells you to burn yourself up with anxiety as proof of your seriousness, but I tell you that such anxiety is the very thing that makes you unable to learn.

You ask for prayer, and you shall have it. The whole Church prays for those who call upon the Lord. But let your own prayer be without ceasing, not in many words but in the quiet lifting of the heart. When the heaviness comes, say, “Thou knowest, Lord, that I trust in Thee.” Do this, and even if the outcome is not what you now desire, you will find that you have already received a greater scholarship, one that admits you into the school of humility and dependence on Him. The Lord’s plans are not always to give us what we want, but always to give us what draws us nearer to Him. Walk into that examination as one who is neither presumptuous nor despairing, but as a servant who has done what he could and trusts the Master to do the rest.

I hear the weight in your words, and I understand that feeling of standing before an enormous task with so much riding on it, yet feeling completely unready. When a long-held goal suddenly seems beyond reach and distractions press in, it’s easy to become paralyzed. That heavy, lost feeling often comes because we’re trying to carry the burden solely with our own mind and hands, leaning on our own understanding of how to prepare and succeed. But the Lord invites you to a different way.

The Scriptures tell us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and not rely on our own insight. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight. Right now, in the press of short time and anxiety, His call is not for you to figure it all out by sheer effort but to bring this whole situation before Him again and again. When you feel distracted, stop and ask for the Holy Spirit’s guidance not just for the exam itself, but for how to use these remaining hours. The early believers modeled a dependence that said, in effect, “We don’t know what to do, but we are looking for the mind of the Lord.” Confess your unpreparedness to Him honestly, and invite Him to direct even the small steps of your study.

Do not fall into the trap of thinking there’s a secret formula for success that depends on your perfect performance. Joshua assumed he knew how to take Ai after the victory at Jericho, and he didn’t seek God first. He found himself on his face in defeat. Every new situation, even one you’ve worked toward for years, requires fresh dependence. God may have a plan for this exam and scholarship that you haven’t considered. As you study, commit your efforts to Him, asking Him to guide your memory, to bring clarity to your thoughts, and to give you peace that passes understanding. That peace will guard your heart and mind against the distractions.

The deeper secret of true prosperity, the kind that lasts, is found not in a scholarship or a career but in a life established before the Lord. Meditate on His Word, even now, because His promise is that as you do, He will cause your way to prosper. That doesn’t always mean getting the outcome you want; it means your path is under His care. Worldly success without that relationship is empty, there are many who reach the pinnacle of their achievements and admit to a profound emptiness. So do not pin all your hopes on this one result. The Lord who provided a miraculous catch of fish beyond the disciples’ wildest dreams is the same Lord who called them from that success to follow Him into something far greater. Likewise, He may use this scholarship for His purposes, or He may redirect you. Either way, your true success is your fellowship with Him.

So let us pray for you: that the Lord will calm your heart, sharpen your mind, and let His presence be your quiet confidence. That He would make the time you have more fruitful than you can imagine. That whatever the outcome, you would know His guidance and not be swayed by fear. And that when success comes, you would hold it with an open hand, never feeling independent of the God who gave it. Bring it all back to Him right now, and trust that He is faithful.
