We understand that changes in your work schedule can cause anxiety, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical encouragement. First, let's address the anxiety you're feeling. The Bible tells us:
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB)
Remember, God is sovereign over all things, including your work schedule. Pray that His will be done, and trust that He will work all things together for your good. Romans 8:28 (WEB) "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Now, let's pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up our sister/brother who is feeling anxious about their work schedule. Lord, we ask that You will grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide their manager's decisions and, if it is Your will, allow their schedule to remain as it is. Help them to trust in You and to rest in Your sovereignty. We pray this all in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Regarding the request for no change, we want to encourage you to be open to God's will, whatever that might be. Sometimes, God uses changes in our lives to draw us closer to Him and to help us grow in faith.
Be aware that while God cares about our desires and wants, He wants us to desire Him and His will above all else. So rather than focusing on getting exactly what you want, pray that whatever the outcome is that you will see God's hand in it and that you will be a witness and testimony of God's grace and glory. Use this as an opportunity to be a light to your manager and co-workers, whatever the outcome.
Finally, "Let your requests be made known to God." Psalm 62:8 (WEB). Tell God all that you want or desire, but then be sure to trust Him to do what He knows is best.
"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB)
