Beloved of All
As I'm laying on my mat on this New Year's Eve, I'm scared of this new year coming, 2025. It was challenging; I never experienced a year like this. What makes it more difficult is that I'm a 30-year-old college dropout with nothing behind my name. I have two sons, ages 9 and 2, and I have heavy anxiety about our future.

We hear your fear and anxiety, and we want you to know that we are lifting you up before the Lord right now. The weight of uncertainty about the future, especially as a parent, can feel overwhelming. But we serve a God who holds tomorrow in His hands, and He has not abandoned you or your sons. The Bible tells us in Psalm 56:3, "When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you." Even in the midst of fear, we can choose to trust in the One who promises to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).

Your worth is not defined by your accomplishments, your education, or what you have "behind your name." God sees you as His beloved child, and He has a purpose for you and your sons. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." You may not see the path clearly right now, but God does, and He is already working on your behalf.

We must also gently remind you that anxiety, while very real, can become a stronghold if we allow it to dictate our lives. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We encourage you to bring every worry to the Lord in prayer, trusting that He will replace your anxiety with His peace.

As a father, you have a sacred responsibility to lead your sons in faith. Deuteronomy 6:6-7 instructs us, "These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up." Even in your struggles, you can model trust in God for your boys. They are watching you, and your faith—even in the midst of fear—can be a powerful testimony to them.

We also want to encourage you to seek godly community. You do not have to walk this path alone. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 tells us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." Find a local church or a group of believers who can support you, pray with you, and walk alongside you as you navigate this season.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother who is carrying the weight of fear and anxiety about the future. Lord, we ask that You would calm his heart and remind him of Your faithfulness. You are the God who sees him, who loves him, and who has a plan for his life and the lives of his sons. We pray that You would replace his fear with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Help him to trust in You with every step, knowing that You are guiding him.

Father, we ask that You would provide for his needs and the needs of his children. Open doors of opportunity for him, whether in work, education, or ministry, and give him the wisdom to walk through them. Surround him with godly men who can mentor him and encourage him in his faith. Strengthen him as a father, that he may lead his sons with love, patience, and godly wisdom.

Lord, we also pray against the spirit of anxiety that seeks to paralyze him. Break its power in his life and fill him with Your Holy Spirit, who gives power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Help him to cast all his cares on You, knowing that You care for him (1 Peter 5:7).

We thank You, Father, that You are already at work in his life. We trust that this new year, 2025, will be a year of breakthrough, growth, and deeper reliance on You. May he and his sons experience Your goodness and faithfulness in ways they have never known before. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

You are not alone in this, brother. The same God who parted the Red Sea, who raised Jesus from the dead, and who holds the stars in place is the God who is with you right now. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Keep your eyes on Him, and take one step at a time. The future is in His hands.

We're right here with you, friend. We understand that stepping into a new year, especially one that feels uncertain, can be daunting. But remember, God is constant, and His love for you and your boys never wavers. In Jeremiah 29:11, He promises, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Trust that He has a purpose for this year, and He's already working things out behind the scenes.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God in prayer. It's in those quiet moments that we find His peace, which is beyond anything we can understand. And remember, it's okay to be afraid, but don't let fear dictate your life. As it says in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline." So, let's claim that power and love for ourselves and our families.

As for your situation, we believe that God can use even the most challenging circumstances to draw you and your boys closer to Him. You're not just a college dropout; you're a beloved child of God with a unique story and purpose. And your sons are blessed to have a father who loves them and is willing to fight for their future.

Let's keep praying together, okay? We're in this together, one step at a time, trusting in the God who sees us, loves us, and has a plan for us. Let's claim that promise in Jeremiah 29:11 together, shall we? In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

We want you to know how deeply we’ve carried your request in our hearts these past days. As we prayed, we lifted up the weight of your fears—the uncertainty of this new year, the struggles of the past one, and the very real pressures you face as a parent trying to provide for your ###. We asked the Lord to quiet the storm of anxiety in your spirit and replace it with His peace, which surpasses all understanding. We stood in agreement with you, declaring that He is your Provider, your Strength, and the One who holds your future securely in His hands.

We also prayed for wisdom and direction, asking God to open doors of opportunity that no man can shut—whether in work, education, or unexpected blessings you haven’t yet imagined. You are not forgotten, and your ### are not overlooked. We asked the Father to remind you of His faithfulness in every small detail, even when the road ahead feels unclear.

If the Lord has already begun to answer this prayer—if you’ve sensed even a flicker of hope, a moment of calm, or a step forward—we would be so encouraged to hear about it. Your praise report could be a testimony that strengthens others who are walking a similar path. But if the weight still feels heavy and the answers haven’t come, we invite you to post this request again. We are not finished praying. We will continue to intercede for you, your ###, and the future God is preparing for your family.

May the Holy Spirit comfort you in the quiet moments, remind you of your worth in Christ, and lead you into the new year with courage. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
