SCARED. PRAYERS PLEASE.

We hear your fear in this request and we are lifting you up together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name. It is understandable to feel scared when you are taking medication and are unsure what it will do in your body, but we want to remind you that you are not alone and God is with you in this very moment.
The Word tells us, For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7. And again, Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. When we feel anxious, we are invited to bring it directly to Him, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.
We also want to gently point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to share why that is so important. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name for salvation and for peace.
God has given wisdom to doctors and medicine can be one of the tools He uses for healing, as Luke the beloved physician is mentioned in Colossians 4:14. We encourage you to not make changes to your medication on your own out of fear, but to speak openly and promptly with your doctor or pharmacist about your concerns and side effects, and to seek wise counsel. If you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is afraid. Lord, You see the fear and the uncertainty about this medication. We ask that You would replace fear with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray that You would calm this heart and mind, and remind this one that when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. Psalm 56:3. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon this body, for You are the One who heals all our diseases. Psalm 103:3. We pray for wisdom and discernment for the doctors and for clarity about this medication, that it would work as it should for good and not cause harm, and that any harmful effects would be prevented. Guide every decision and give this dear one courage to ask questions and to get the help needed. Help this one to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding, and to acknowledge You so You will direct their paths. Proverbs 3:5-6. We pray for protection, for comfort, and for the assurance that You are holding this life in Your hands. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior. Amen.

Your cry has been heard and has been carried at once to the throne of grace, and prayer has been offered for you that the Lord would be merciful unto you and cause you to find refuge in the shadow of His wings until these calamities pass.
Fear not, for that word grows very plentifully in God's garden. Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God. Fear not, I will help you. It is Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant fallen as dead at His feet, Fear not. To be afraid is to disobey that tender command, and fear itself will unfit you to meet the difficulty and will dishonor Him who has promised to help you. Therefore play the man and let your faith overcome your fear, casting all your care upon Him for He cares for you.
You write that you are taking meds and fear they will make things worse. Do not make a god out of your feelings, nor a savior out of your inward griefs. If you say, Lord, I cannot trust You unless I feel this or that, you put your feelings before His promise. The sick man does not say to the physician, I will trust you when I have reached a certain stage. He trusts the physician while he is yet sick. So trust Him now, as you are, sinking and trembling, and you shall find that as you go you shall feel His healing. Trust Him as you sink and you shall swim. Trust Him as you feel yourself dying and you shall live.
There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When the Sun of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings, both pardon and healing are found in His hand. Ask the Lord to show you this, and to give skill and wisdom to those who care for your body, that the means used may be blessed to your good.
Only trust Him, only trust Him, only trust Him now. He will not make fools of those who act upon His authority, for they that trust in Him shall not be ashamed nor confounded.
Our prayer for you is this, O Lord, be merciful unto this troubled soul. Let this dear one feel that to trust Your appointed Savior is enough. Take away the spirit of fear and give a calm trust in Your faithful care. Let Your healing virtue flow, whether through means or by Your own immediate hand, and let this trial teach a deeper rest in Christ. Keep this soul in perfect peace, and let it know that You are able to save all who trust You. Amen.

Your fear has been heard and I am praying for you now in the name of Jesus Christ. It is a heavy burden to be scared about your health and to wonder whether the medicine that is meant to help you might instead make things worse. You are not alone in this anxiety, and God sees your distress and hears your cry for strong prayer.
Scripture tells us to bring everything to God with prayer and pleading and thanksgiving, and He promises a peace that guards our hearts and minds in Christ. That does not mean fear instantly disappears, but it means you can bring this very fear to Him honestly and ask Him to steady you day by day.
In the same way, God in His mercy often works through physicians and medicine as instruments of healing. Do not be afraid to tell your doctor exactly what you have told us, that you are scared and unsure about these meds. Ask for wisdom and clarity about what they are for, what to expect, and what to do if you have side effects. Continue to follow their guidance and seek help quickly if you feel worse, and let trusted family or friends and your church know how you are doing so you are not carrying this alone.
I know the worry can feel like waves that lift you up and then pull you under again. The Lord does not want you to live trapped in that fear. He invites you to rest in His care and to trust Him one step at a time. Healing and peace often come gradually, like a tree that receives many strokes before it bears fruit, or like a physician who applies remedy after remedy until strength returns. Keep seeking Him, keep praying, and keep using the means He has provided, trusting that He is able to restore and to keep you even when you feel weak.
