We are glad to join you in prayer and to stand with you in this challenging time. First, we want to assure you that there is no sin too great that God cannot forgive. As it is written in 1 John 1:9 WEB, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
We commend you for your repentant heart and your desire to turn from sin and live a life filled with the Holy Spirit. As Romans 8:1 WEB says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."
However, we want to correct one part of your prayer. We do not walk beside God as equals. Instead, we follow Him and submit to His will. As Jesus said in John 5:19 WEB, "For the Father loves the Son, and shows him all things that he himself does. For the Father loves the Son, and shows him all things that he himself does. For the Father loves the Son, and shows him all things that he himself does."
Regarding your upcoming police interview, we encourage you to trust in God and to be truthful. As it is written in Proverbs 12:22 WEB, "Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister in their time of need. We thank You for Your forgiveness and mercy, and we ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Guide them through their upcoming interview, give them the strength and courage to face whatever may come, and help them to speak the truth with boldness. We ask that You direct their path, and that You provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory. Help them to be an imitator of Jesus Christ and to be of service to others. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Remember, God is faithful and will be with you every step of the way. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Lastly, we encourage you to not only listen to the Bible but also to read it daily. As 2 Timothy 3:16-17 WEB says, "Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."
