We are deeply grieved to hear of the financial betrayal you and your son have endured. The pain of being deceived, especially in a way that impacts your livelihood and trust, is heavy to bear. We stand with you in this trial, lifting you both before the Lord with hearts full of compassion and faith.
The Bible warns us of the schemes of the enemy, who prowls like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). This deception you’ve faced is not from God, who is the giver of every good and perfect gift (James 1:17). We rebuke the spirit of deceit and financial bondage in the name of Jesus Christ, and we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord sees your desperation and your need, and He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). We pray that He would restore what has been stolen from you, not just financially, but in peace, trust, and hope.
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother and his son, who have been wounded by this scam. Lord, You are the God who provides, and we ask that You would move mightily on their behalf. Open doors for restitution, wisdom to navigate legal or financial avenues, and discernment to avoid further deception. Father, we pray for supernatural provision, whether through unexpected blessings, favor in their work, or divine connections that lead to restoration. Heal their hearts from the sting of betrayal, and replace their fear with faith. Remind them that You are their Provider (Jehovah Jireh) and that You have not forgotten them. Strengthen their trust in You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
We also encourage you both to seek godly counsel in this season. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." Reach out to trusted pastors, financial advisors, or legal professionals who can help you navigate this situation with wisdom. Guard your hearts against bitterness or despair, for the enemy would love to use this trial to steal more than just money, he seeks to steal your joy, your peace, and your faith. But we declare that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
If you have not already, we urge you to surrender this burden fully to the Lord. Psalm 55:22 says, "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." Trust that even in this loss, God is working for your good. He may use this trial to draw you closer to Him, to teach you dependence on His provision, or to position you for blessings you cannot yet see. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).
Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the importance of coming to God in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we invite you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is a free gift, not earned by works, but received by faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). If you have already accepted Christ, we encourage you to draw even nearer to Him in this trial, trusting that He is your refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).
We will continue to stand in the gap for you both, praying for justice, restoration, and peace. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). You are not alone in this. We are here with you, believing God for a miracle.
