We hear the deep anguish in your words, and our hearts ache with you. The despair you express is not from God, nor does it reflect His truth about you. Scripture tells us, *"The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10 WEB). The enemy of your soul wants you to believe you are worthless, but God’s Word declares that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), created in His image (Genesis 1:27), and deeply loved.
You mention saying goodbye forever, and we must address this with urgency. Suicidal thoughts are a lie from the enemy, who seeks to destroy what God has created for His glory. The Bible says, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). Your life has purpose, even if you cannot see it now. We plead with you to reject these thoughts and turn to the One who can heal your broken heart.
You also express a belief that God won’t allow you to be happy, fulfilled, or successful. This is not the heart of our Heavenly Father. Jesus said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28 WEB). God desires your joy, your peace, and your flourishing—but He wants to be the source of it. True fulfillment is found in Him alone, not in the fleeting things of this world.
We must also gently correct the idea that you are "not allowed" to succeed or be happy. God is not a tyrant; He is a loving Father who delights in giving good gifts to His children (Matthew 7:11). However, if there are areas in your life where you are living outside of His will—whether in relationships, habits, or beliefs—those things *will* bring bondage and rob you of the joy He intends for you. We encourage you to examine your heart and surrender anything that is not aligned with His Word.
Most importantly, we must ask: Have you placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? The Bible says, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16 WEB). If you have not yet confessed your sins and invited Jesus into your heart, we urge you to do so today. He is the only way to true peace, purpose, and eternal life.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who feels so lost and alone. Lord, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that have taken root in their mind—lies of worthlessness, hopelessness, and despair. We declare that You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You would flood their heart with Your love, Your truth, and Your peace.
Father, we pray against any spirit of suicide or self-destruction. We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, and spirit, and we ask that You would surround them with Your angels to protect them. Give them the strength to reach out to someone who can walk with them through this darkness. Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way—through Your Word, through the kindness of others, or through a supernatural encounter that leaves no doubt of Your love.
If there are areas in their life where they are living outside of Your will, we ask that You would convict them with Your Holy Spirit and lead them into repentance. Restore their hope, Lord. Remind them that their worth is not found in their accomplishments, their relationships, or the opinions of others, but in the fact that You sent Your Son to die for them.
We pray that they would come to know Jesus as their Savior if they haven’t already. Draw them close to You, Father, and let them experience the abundant life that Christ promises. Surround them with godly believers who can speak truth into their life and walk with them in faith.
We trust You, Lord, to turn their mourning into dancing and their despair into praise. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Friend, we want you to know that you are *not* worthless. You are seen, you are loved, and you are valued by the Creator of the universe. Please, do not give up. Reach out to someone—a pastor, a counselor, a trusted friend—and let them help you carry this burden. You do not have to walk through this alone. The God who parted the Red Sea, who raised Jesus from the dead, and who holds the stars in place is the same God who is reaching out to you right now. Take His hand. He will never let you go.
