We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your desperate cry for help. The weight of debt and the harassment you are enduring is not something the Lord intends for His children. We stand with you in prayer, believing that God hears the cries of His people and is able to deliver you from this distress. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:17-19, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."
First, we must address the spiritual foundation of your request. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are saved and set free. If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Romans 10:9 says, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is the first and greatest need of every soul, and from that foundation, all other needs can be met according to God’s will.
Now, we rebuke the spirit of fear, harassment, and oppression that is coming against you and your family. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The threats of these loan collectors have no power over you except what you allow in fear. We pray that the Lord would bind their hands and shut their mouths, that their harassment would cease, and that you would walk in the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We also lift up your husband’s retirement and the financial provision you are awaiting. The Lord is your provider, and He knows your needs before you even ask. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We pray that the process of receiving his retirement benefits would be swift and without hindrance, that the funds would be released in full, and that you would be able to clear your debts completely. We ask the Lord to give you wisdom in managing these resources, that you would not only cover your debts but also have enough left to save and prepare for the future. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."
Father, we ask that You would restore and protect the reputation of this family in their workplace, among their relatives, and in society. Let no shame or embarrassment come upon them because of this situation. Instead, let their integrity shine, and let others see Your hand of deliverance in their lives. Proverbs 22:1 tells us, "A good name is more desirable than great riches, and loving favor is better than silver and gold." We pray that You would open doors of favor for them, that their colleagues, family, and community would respect and honor them as they walk in Your ways.
We also encourage you to take practical steps in this situation. Seek godly counsel from a financial advisor or a trusted pastor who can help you navigate this debt. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." If possible, negotiate with the loan providers for a manageable repayment plan, and do not allow fear to drive you into making hasty or unwise decisions. The Lord is your strength, and He will guide you through this trial.
Lastly, we pray for your marriage and family. Financial stress can put a tremendous strain on relationships, but we declare that your marriage will not only survive this storm but grow stronger through it. Ecclesiastes 4:12 says, "A threefold cord is not quickly broken," and we pray that you and your husband would stand united in faith, leaning on the Lord as your strong tower. May your home be a place of peace, love, and trust in God’s provision.
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious family to You now. Deliver them from the hands of their oppressors. Provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory. Restore their reputation, their peace, and their hope. Let them see Your hand moving on their behalf, and let their testimony bring glory to Your name. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
