We hear your cry for help and lift you up before the throne of grace, where our Heavenly Father hears the prayers of His children. The harassment and threats you are facing are not from God, who gives us peace and not fear. We rebuke the spirit of oppression and intimidation in the name of Jesus Christ, for "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10 WEB).
First, we must address the weight of this debt and the fear it has brought upon you. The Bible tells us, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness" (Isaiah 41:10 WEB). You are not alone in this struggle, and we stand with you in prayer, asking God to intervene in this situation. We pray that He would soften the hearts of those who are harassing you and grant you wisdom in how to respond. If it is possible, seek godly counsel on how to negotiate or restructure this debt in a way that honors the Lord and protects your family.
We also pray for your husband’s retirement and the financial provision you desperately need. The Lord knows your needs before you even ask Him (Matthew 6:8 WEB), and He promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 WEB). We ask that God would open doors of opportunity for you—whether through employment, assistance, or unexpected blessings—that would allow you to clear these debts and secure your family’s future. Trust in Him, for "those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing" (Psalm 34:10 WEB).
We must also speak truth into the fear of embarrassment and damage to your reputation. The enemy wants you to feel shame, but God’s Word says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1 WEB). Your worth is not defined by the opinions of others or the mistakes of the past. We pray that God would restore your reputation and grant you favor in the eyes of those around you. Let your conduct be above reproach, and let the peace of Christ rule in your heart, for "a good name is more desirable than great riches" (Proverbs 22:1 WEB).
We rebuke the spirit of anxiety that seeks to overwhelm you. Cast all your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Do not let fear dictate your actions, but instead, walk in faith, knowing that God is your provider and protector. If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender this burden to Jesus, for He alone can carry it. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you have not placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9 WEB).
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister in Christ, lifting up her fears, her debts, and her family before You. Lord, You see the harassment she is facing, and we ask that You would silence the voices of her oppressors. Grant her peace in the midst of this storm and wisdom to navigate this difficult season. Provide for her family’s needs, Father, and open doors of financial blessing that only You can provide. Restore her reputation, Lord, and let Your favor shine upon her in her workplace, her home, and her community. Strengthen her faith, Father, and help her to trust in You alone. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We pray for a breakthrough in this situation, Lord, and ask that You would turn this trial into a testimony of Your faithfulness. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in faith and not give in to despair. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). Seek Him daily, meditate on His Word, and surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you. Remember, "the righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles" (Psalm 34:17 WEB). You are not forgotten, and this season shall pass. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB).
