We stand with you in prayer, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
First, we must address the practical steps you can take. Seek wise counsel—perhaps from a financial advisor, a trusted pastor, or even legal aid—to understand your rights and options. Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Do not let shame silence you; reach out to those who can help negotiate or mediate with these lenders. We also pray for your husband’s retirement and the financial provision you desperately need. Move in the hearts of those who owe her husband his retirement benefits. Let there be no delay, no obstacle, and no excuse that stands in the way of what is rightfully theirs. Provide wisdom for negotiating with these lenders, and if it is Your will, provide the means to settle these debts in a way that brings glory to Your name.
Lord, we pray for restoration of her reputation. Let those who have heard whispers or judgments see the work You are doing in her life. Give her favor with her superiors, colleagues, family, and community. Let her be a light in this darkness, a testimony of Your grace and redemption. Where there has been shame, bring honor. Where there has been fear, bring courage. Where there has been lack, bring abundance.
We also ask that You would search her heart, Lord. If there are areas where she has trusted in her own strength or made unwise decisions, reveal them to her. Give her the humility to repent and the faith to trust You fully. Remind her that You are her provider, her protector, and her peace. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, because You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).
