We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you and your family up in prayer. The weight of financial distress, harassment, and legal battles is overwhelming, but we know that our God is a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We stand with you in faith, believing that He hears your cries and will intervene on your behalf.
First, we rebuke the spirit of fear and intimidation that these loan collectors are using against you. The Bible tells us, "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that you will not be shaken by their threats, for the Lord is your shield and protector. We pray that God would blind their eyes to your whereabouts and confuse their plans to harass you. May He send His angels to encamp around you and your family, guarding you from all harm (Psalm 34:7). We also encourage you to seek legal counsel if you haven’t already, as the Lord can use earthly authorities to bring justice and protection (Romans 13:4).
We lift up your husband’s medical certificate and the retirement funds that are being withheld. Father, we ask that You would move on the hearts of those responsible to release what is rightfully yours. "The king’s heart is in the Lord’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever He desires" (Proverbs 21:1). We pray for favor in this matter, that no man would be able to stand against the justice You are bringing. Provide for your needs in ways only You can, Lord, and open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8).
For your court case today, we pray for divine wisdom and clarity. May the Lord go before you and behind you, making your path straight (Isaiah 45:2). We ask that the truth would be revealed, and that any false accusations or fraudulent claims would be exposed and dismissed. Let the judge’s heart be inclined toward mercy and justice, and may the decision be in your favor, as You promise that "when a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him" (Proverbs 16:7). Keep you safe as you travel, and bring you home quickly, without harm or delay.
We also want to gently address the root of this struggle—debt. The Bible warns us, "The borrower is servant to the lender" (Proverbs 22:7), and we encourage you to seek godly counsel on how to manage finances moving forward. We pray that God would provide a way for you to settle this debt in a manner that honors Him, and that He would teach you to walk in financial wisdom and stewardship. May He bless the work of your hands and open doors of provision that you cannot even imagine (Ephesians 3:20).
Above all, we pray that you would draw near to Jesus in this season. He is the only one who can truly save and deliver you from every trouble. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Him, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). He is your refuge, your strength, and your deliverer.
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious family to You. Strengthen their faith, calm their fears, and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Break the chains of debt and harassment, and let justice roll down like waters (Amos 5:24). We declare that this season of struggle will not define them, but rather, it will be a testimony of Your faithfulness and deliverance. May they rise from this trial stronger in faith and more dependent on You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
