Save His Job

Dear Lord Jesus, I know my parents tell me to not post praying like this, but this friend of mine isn’t trouble and he needs your help right now and that’s why I try to get the word out. I remain somewhat more anonymous to keep things more secret but dear Lord, please please please please please please please save this job and that’s why I won’t let others know so we can have prayers going on and going up and being happy and things that are important to my friend. It would make him very happy and he works really hard he saves lives and yet he’s just being punished instead of thanked for not thanked enough. He does things secretly like the book of Matthew says he’s not boasting about it. Unlike a lot of other people and those other people are taking false credit too, sounding the trumpets for false things they did not just the good things or only part of the part of the way Please do something about this effective immediately Jesus. We hear your burden for your friend and we join with you in lifting him up before the Lord, and we are encouraged that you have come in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5, and In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We thank God that you have called upon that name.

We understand your desire to remain anonymous and to honor your parents at the same time. We encourage you to continue to honor your father and mother, for this is the first commandment with a promise Ephesians 6:2, and to speak with them openly about your desire to intercede for others. God honors both obedience in the home and the faithful prayers of His people, and you can pray fervently in private as well as with others. Do not be anxious about the outcome, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6, and He will hear.

We are moved by your description of your friend as one who works hard, saves lives, and does good quietly without sounding a trumpet before him, just as Jesus taught, But when you do merciful deeds, do not let your left hand know what your right hand does, so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly Matthew 6:3-4. The Lord sees what is done in secret and He is not unjust to forget the faithful labor of His children. We also remember that Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23, so even when earthly recognition fails or false credit is taken by others, service done unto the Lord is never wasted.

We pray together for your friend and for this situation.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this dear friend who is facing trouble in his job. You know his name, his work, and his heart, and You see the lives he has touched through his diligent and humble service. Lord, if it is Your will, we ask You to preserve his position and to make a way where there seems to be no way. Let justice be done and let truth be revealed concerning those who take false credit and sound trumpets for what they have not done. We ask You to protect this man from being punished for doing good, to give favor with those in authority over him, and to provide for all his needs according to Your riches in glory. Grant him peace that surpasses understanding, strength to continue in integrity, and assurance that his reward comes from You. We also pray for those who have acted falsely, that You would convict their hearts and lead them to repentance, and we pray for our friend who intercedes, that You would give wisdom to honor parents and to trust Your perfect timing and will, even when we ask for immediate answers, for Your ways are higher than our ways Isaiah 55:9. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord with this job situation. God is the one who lifts up and puts down Psalm 75:7, and He is able to keep and sustain your friend whether through this job or through another provision He has prepared. Encourage your friend to remain faithful, humble, and diligent, to not grow weary in doing good, and to commit his work to the Lord. We will continue to pray with you that God's will be done and that your friend will be upheld and thanked according to God's perfect justice and mercy.

We hear how much you care for your friend and how heavily this weighs on you, especially wanting to help quietly and respectfully while your parents have cautioned you about posting. Wanting to stay anonymous and still get prayer going for him shows real loyalty.

It is painful to watch someone who works hard and quietly helps others, even saves lives, feel punished instead of thanked while others take credit. When a job feels threatened, it can bring a lot of fear and uncertainty, not just about income but about purpose and identity. It makes sense you would want God to act quickly and bring what is fair and good.

We are grateful you brought this to prayer rather than carrying it alone. Continuing to pray privately for him, as you are doing, is a meaningful way to support him without putting him or yourself in an awkward position. Your earnest care for your friend and your desire to bring his need before the Lord in secret is a tender thing, and it is not overlooked by Him who sees in secret. You have done well to pray quietly, without sounding a trumpet, as our Saviour teaches in Matthew, for the Father who sees in secret will reward openly.

We understand the pain of seeing a faithful man who labors to save lives, who works hard and seeks no praise, appear to be punished while others take credit for what they have not done. Such injustice is grievous, and it tries the heart. Yet remember Job, who also suffered though he was upright and feared God and eschewed evil. Scripture says in all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly, but he fell down and worshipped. He was brought to say, Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him. That is the place to which the Lord would bring us, not demanding an immediate answer on our terms, but bowing low before His throne and at the same time crying, Nearer to You.

The Lord knows your friend's work, every hidden act of mercy and every hour spent for the good of others. Man may overlook and man may falsely claim honor, but God is not deceived. He humbles the proud and lifts up the lowly, and He has promised that humble walking with Him is the path of wisdom. What is done for His sake in quiet faithfulness is precious in His sight.

We will join you in praying for your friend, not as those who would command God to act effective immediately according to our wish, but as those who trust His perfect wisdom and sovereignty. We ask that the Lord would do what is right and good, that He would vindicate what is true, restrain what is false, and sustain your friend whether by preserving his place of service or by opening another and better way. As it is written, the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends, and Job's latter end was more blessed than his beginning. Even if trial remains for a season, our longest sorrows have a close, and there is a bottom to the deepest misery when the Lord is our portion.

O Lord our God, You know the needs of this Your servant who labors to preserve life and seeks no praise of men. You see his diligence, his integrity, and the wrong that grieves him. We ask You in Your mercy to look upon him, to uphold him with Your hand, to give wisdom to those who hold his employment in their power, and to bring truth to light. If it be Your will, preserve his work and let him continue to do good therein. If otherwise You have appointed, give him patience as Job had patience, and faith to worship still, and provide for all his needs according to Your riches in Christ Jesus. Keep both him and this dear intercessor humble before You, trusting not in man but in Your unfailing grace, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our salvation. Amen.

Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind.
