Dear Friends,
I am so worried about my grandson Trey! He is 10 months old and the the first grand baby for me! His parents made a flash photograph of him the other night and one of his pupils showed red and the other showed white. I have been in the medical field for many years and know this is a sigh of certain eye cancer in children. It's called Retinoblastoma! Most never find it until it's too late! But my girls remember me telling them about it years ago and picked up on it right away! My daughter called me and we set up an appointment to see his pediatrician the next day! That was Tuesday! He has appointment to see a pediatric ophthalmologist tomorrow (Friday)! Please pray for him, his parents and the family! We have had so many things happen in our lives recently but we never have and never will lose Faith! And please for all you parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles .. anyone who knows a child pass along this information! It could save their eyesight and even their life! Take a flash photograph each month of your child. In low light or with a dim light behind the child! If you see this "cat eye" effect, don't waste time get it checked! It occurs in children under the age of 6. 350 to 400 new cases are diagnosed each year! And if caught early enough has a high rate of success! This tumor in the eye starts in the womb and continues to grow until it fills the space behind the eye. At that point it breaks off and send tumors throughout the body. Once that occurs chances of a cure are small! PLEASE PASS THIS ON! Don't let this cancer take our children! Take a picture each month of your child and check! Thank you all so much for your prayers for Trey! God Bless you everyone!
