Satanic demon possessed wicked people are trying to kill my faith in Jesus and destroy my religious freedom. They viciously and violently attack every time I try to read The Bible, attend church services, attend Bible study, play praise music, and every time I try to praise and worship Jesus. You probably think that is no big deal because you have it easy and it's not happening to you. Let me assure you, if these wicked people are doing it to me they will eventually do it to you whether you believe that they will or not. Please do what is right and stand for my religious freedom and right to attend church, read the Bible and attend Bible study and worship Jesus. This is happening in the USA not a third world country. Again if they are doing it to me they will eventually do it to you.

We hear your cry and stand with you in the face of spiritual warfare, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The attacks you describe are real, and the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we serve a God who is greater than all the powers of darkness.

First, we must rebuke the lies of the enemy in Jesus’ name. Satan and his followers have no authority over a child of God who stands firm in faith. The Bible declares, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). We command every demonic spirit harassing you to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! You have the authority as a believer to resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).

We also want to encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily so that you may stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). This includes:
- The belt of truth (God’s Word is truth, John 17:17)
- The breastplate of righteousness (living a life pleasing to God)
- The readiness of the gospel of peace (standing firm in the hope of salvation)
- The shield of faith (to extinguish the fiery darts of the evil one)
- The helmet of salvation (protection for your mind)
- The sword of the Spirit (the Word of God, which is your offensive weapon)
- Praying always in the Spirit with all prayer and supplication (Ephesians 6:14-18)

Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you don’t give up (Galatians 6:9). The enemy wants you to isolate yourself, but we urge you to stay connected to a body of believers. Do not forsake the assembling of yourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhort one another, especially as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:25). If your current church is not a safe place, seek out a faithful, Bible-believing congregation where you can worship freely and be strengthened in the Lord.

We also lift up the broader issue of religious freedom in this nation. The United States was founded on the principle of liberty, including the freedom to worship God without fear of persecution. We pray for revival in this land, that the Church would rise up with boldness to proclaim the name of Jesus. "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the only Name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We lift up our brother/sister who is under attack for their faith. Lord, You see the spiritual warfare they are enduring, and we ask that You would surround them with Your angels for protection (Psalm 91:11). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to stand firm in the face of opposition.

We rebuke every demonic spirit that is harassing them. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Father, we ask that You would expose any schemes of the enemy and grant them wisdom and discernment to navigate this battle. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Lord, we also pray for the Church in this nation. Raise up bold believers who will not be ashamed of the gospel (Romans 1:16). Protect religious freedom and turn the hearts of those who seek to silence Your people. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and may many come to know You as their Lord and Savior.

We thank You, Father, that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We trust in You, and we declare that the gates of hell will not prevail against Your Church (Matthew 16:18). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Do not lose heart, dear one. The enemy is already defeated, and his time is short. Stand firm, keep your eyes on Jesus, and remember that your labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). If you are not already, we encourage you to memorize Scripture and speak it aloud when under attack, this is a powerful weapon against the lies of the enemy. The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12).

Finally, if you have not already, consider reaching out to trusted spiritual leaders or a pastor who can provide additional support and prayer. You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is with you, and so are we. Keep fighting the good fight of faith!

We hear how isolating and frightening this feels, like every attempt to draw near to Jesus is met with an immediate, vicious pushback. That kind of relentless opposition wears you down, and we don’t want to minimize the weight of it.

One thing we’ve noticed over the years is that when someone is truly pressing into Christ, the resistance often intensifies just before breakthrough. C.S. Lewis put it well: the devil is equally pleased when we disbelieve his existence and when we develop an unhealthy, excessive fascination with him. The danger isn’t in acknowledging a real spiritual attack, that’s biblical. The danger is when the focus shifts so heavily onto the enemy that it inadvertently crowds out the very thing you’re fighting for: time simply fixed on Jesus.

A concrete step that helps many in this position is to stop fighting alone in the quiet. When the assault flares up as you open your Bible or try to worship, call or text one trusted believer and ask them to sit with you, physically, if possible, or on a video call, for ten minutes. Read aloud together. Put on a worship song while they’re still on the line. The goal isn’t a long counseling session; it’s a brief, tangible shield of another person’s presence. This makes the attack less abstract and reminds your nervous system that you are not alone in the body of Christ.

Jesus, we ask You right now to make this person unshakably aware of Your nearness. Silence whatever lies and threats are being flung their way, and let every attempt to intimidate them be met with Your peace. Give them the simple, practical courage to reach out to a brother or sister in the faith this week. Guard their freedom to gather, to read, and to worship. In Your name we pray, amen.

These arrows fly from darkness, yet they cannot pierce the shield where faith holds it up before the face. The archers sorely grieved Joseph, but his bow abode in strength. You speak of Satanic worshippers and demon-possessed wicked ones raging against you whenever you draw near to holy things. Let me tell you plainly: this is no strange thing. The seed of the serpent ever hates the seed of the woman. Persecution, whether by sword or slander, whether by open violence or stealthy venom, is the wave that, leaping up around the church, speeds her course.

Do you think I have it easy because I stand in this pulpit? God forbid I should boast in a fleshly peace. The enmity of the world drives the Christian nearer to his God. How many prayers have been offered up as the result of persecution heaven alone can tell. When they attack you for reading the Word, for attending Bible study, for lifting up praise, this very assault is turned by the mighty hand of God into a means of grace. The shield of faith not only quenches fiery darts; it extracts honey from the nettle and sweets of joy from the wormwood and the gall.

Listen well. Their arrows are real, but they aim at the new man born of the Spirit. And the Lord will perfect that which concerneth you. If He loved you when you had no faith at all, will He cast you off because your faith now trembles under the storm? No! The least faith in Jesus is the gift of God. Though it be but a lone spark smothered under a heap of rubbish, Christ spies it out. He does not despise the bruised reed.

Now as for the worship they seek to hinder, mark this: the best worship often comes from the Christian most tried. When they block your way to the assembly, call upon Him in the day of trouble. Say, “I shall praise Him.” The heart lifted up in secret can find the Mercy Seat though every church door were bolted. God is a Spirit, and they that worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. The formal gathering is precious, yet the Spirit is not bound by walls. Cry out with a loud voice from under the altar if you must: “How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost Thou not judge and avenge?” That cry is itself worship ascending to the throne.

Above all, take the shield of faith. Cover yourself with it entirely. When the archers shoot, let your bow abide in strength, do not turn it against them in fleshly rage, but rest while they rage. Christ appeared in heaven as a Lamb, because as a Lamb He fought and conquered. Follow the Lamb. Let great faith hide self under its mighty wings. Boldness at the throne is yours because the blood of Christ has perfected forever them that are sanctified.

You fear this venom will spread to others, and you warn me. I receive it soberly. If they attack an heir of life, they rouse a giant. The gates of hell shall not prevail against the church. But for you, in this present fiery trial, draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith. The Lord will perfect that which concerneth you. He will bring you through the flood and through the flame, and your foot shall stand upon the neck of the adversary in due time. Stand still and see the salvation of God.

You say these wicked people violently attack whenever you try to read Scripture, attend church, or worship Jesus. I do not dismiss your suffering as trivial, nor do I imagine that I am beyond such trials. Yet consider: the devil assaults most fiercely when we are alone. He set upon the woman in the garden when she was apart from her husband, and he led our Lord into the wilderness to tempt Him. If you isolate yourself, you give the enemy a handle. Do not demand your rights from a distance; seek the shelter of the gathered church. For where two or three are banded together in His name, the evil one loses confidence.

Your plea for religious freedom rings with understandable anguish, but take care that you do not mistake the battle. The true horror is not that those outside may hinder your outward acts, but that your heart might grow hard and your faith shipwrecked. Christ asked His disciples, “Having eyes, see ye not? Having ears, hear ye not?” They were so consumed with earthly concerns that they forgot the loaves and fishes, the very power of God displayed before them. Do not let the noise of malice deafen you to the miracles He has already worked in your life. Their scheming is a pit they dig; Scripture promises they will fall into it themselves. Their vanity will perish, while the preaching of Christ flourishes.

What you perceive as a violation of religious freedom is, in truth, a summons to cling more tightly to the sacred anchor of faith. The hour has come when worship is not about a mountain or a city, not about the ease of a place where no one opposes you, but about spirit and truth. They can block a church door, but they cannot seal the temple of your heart. Do not let this satanic fondness for meddling with what others do become a snare to you. Fix your eyes not on their wickedness, but on the standard of the Faith once delivered. That faith is your freedom, and no tyrant can touch it.

The venom you are describing is real. When someone sincerely turns to Jesus Christ, to read His word and gather with His people and lift up praise, there is a fury that rises against it. You are not imagining things, and you are not weak for feeling the pressure. The enemy hates genuine worship, and he will use whatever means he can, often through people caught in false systems, whether they know it or not, to try to silence the faith that lays hold of God.

Religious opposition is nothing new. It was the religious leaders of Israel who hounded the Lord Jesus right to the cross. It was the most devoutly law-keeping men of their day who later stoned the prophets and drove the apostles from city to city. Persecution often wears a religious face, because there is something in fallen man that wants to worship on his own terms rather than bow to the God who must be worshiped in spirit and in truth. When you determine to do what God has prescribed, the forces that trade in counterfeit worship will react violently. That is the pattern from the beginning, from Babylon onward.

But notice what is really under attack here. It is not your legal standing in a nation, important as that may be. It is your faith. Every time you reach for the Scriptures, every time you go to gather, every time you sing, the assault comes to make you draw back. The goal is to get you to stop. To trade trust in Jesus for fear. To exchange the freedom of walking by faith for the chains of reacting to threats. That is the prize the enemy is after. Do not give it to him.

The believers in Thessalonica were under heavy and constant affliction, yet Paul's great concern was not their physical safety but their faith. He sent Timothy to find out whether they were still holding fast, because he knew that whatever else might be taken from them, if their faith remained intact, they were safe in the most profound sense. He was overjoyed when the news came back that their faith was alive and their love for each other was actually growing through the pressure. That can happen in your life too. Suffering has a way of distilling our trust down to its purest form, burning away the things that never mattered.

It is a mistake to think that true faith always leads to an easy deliverance. The letter to the Hebrews makes that startlingly clear. Some through faith stopped the mouths of lions. Others through faith were tortured, refusing to accept release, because they looked ahead to a better resurrection. Both are examples of faith working. Both are held up for us. If your present trial falls into the second category for a season, that does not mean your faith has failed. It means you are being given the privilege of demonstrating that Jesus is worth more than comfort, more than the approval of men, more than religious liberty itself. He Himself was not delivered from the cross, and He is not asking you to value anything above Him.

At the same time, remember what real freedom is. No law, no human threat, no demonic pressure can bring you under its power unless you consent. You belong to Christ. He has redeemed you from the curse of the law. The life you now live, you live by faith in the Son of God who loved you and gave Himself for you. Someone may block a door or shout over a hymn or mock your Bible reading, but they cannot touch the throne room where you worship in spirit. That sanctuary stands forever open. Do not let the outward commotion convince you that your inward liberty has been revoked.

The greatest danger to your soul is not persecution, hard as it is. Oddly enough, the graver peril is when everything goes smoothly, when everyone speaks well of you, and you begin to rely on the creature’s approval rather than the Creator’s. In that sense, this trial may become a severe mercy, keeping your grip on Christ alone.

So do not stop reading. Do not stop gathering. Do not stop singing. Do not let these attacks move you away from the very things that are feeding your faith. The enemy would like nothing more than for you to conclude that the cost is too high. It is not. The faith that lays hold of Jesus is more precious than gold that perishes.

We are praying that what is lacking in your faith will be perfected, not by removing every obstacle, but by deepening your roots in the word of God until you are immovable. The same Spirit who enabled the tortured saints to endure without cursing their Lord dwells in you. Stand on your feet. The word of faith says you are righteous through Jesus Christ, and no accusation from the pit can overturn that. Press on in that confidence.
