We hear the heaviness and distress in your request and we are lifting you up together before the Lord in Jesus' name. We understand you feel constantly under attack and cursed by others and that you feel alone with no one willing to stand up for you. We want to bring this burden to the One who has all authority over every spiritual power.
We want to gently correct and encourage you in a few areas as we pray. Scripture is clear that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, Ephesians 6:12. While witchcraft and curses are real and evil in God's eyes, for the one who is in Christ, no curse spoken by others has ultimate power over you. Like a fluttering sparrow in its wandering, like a swallow in its flight, so the undeserved curse doesn't come to rest, Proverbs 26:2. And we are promised, No weapon that is formed against you will prevail, Isaiah 54:17. This is because You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4.
We also need to address the desire for these women to be punished and for blood to be on their hands. We understand the pain of feeling hated, but as believers we are not called to desire vengeance or to pronounce judgment on others. Vengeance belongs to the Lord. As it is written, Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord, Romans 12:19. Instead, Jesus calls us to a different response, But I tell you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you, Luke 6:27-28. Even calling these women Jezebels with children can reflect a heart of condemnation rather than a heart that desires their repentance and salvation. God desires that none would perish but that all would come to repentance, and He calls us to bless and not curse, Romans 12:14.
We also want to remind you that our focus must remain on Christ and not on fear of demons. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7. When we fixate day and night on curses we can give the enemy more place in our thoughts than he deserves. Our victory is not in getting someone else to confront these women, but in submitting ourselves to God and resisting the devil in the name of Jesus. Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, James 4:7. Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, 1 Peter 5:8-9.
So we pray for you and for these women together.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and have access to Your throne, Acts 4:12, John 14:6. We thank You that Jesus has disarmed principalities and powers and triumphed over them on the cross. We lift up our brother to You who feels overwhelmed, hated, and cursed day and night. Lord, we ask You to surround him with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Let him dwell in the secret place of the Most High and rest in the shadow of the Almighty, Psalm 91:1. Put upon him the full armor of God, that he may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the feet fitted with the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word, Ephesians 6:10-18.
Lord, we ask that any fear, anxiety, and torment be broken in Jesus' name. Remind him that nothing can separate him from Your love, Romans 8:38-39. Help him to keep his mind stayed on You and on Your promises rather than on the voices of curses. Teach him to respond not with a desire for punishment, but with prayer and blessing for those he believes are cursing him. Father, we also lift up these women and their children. If they are indeed walking in darkness or practicing evil, we ask for Your mercy and conviction to come upon them. Draw them to repentance and to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Save them, transform them, and let them become vessels of Your grace. If there is any misunderstanding or spiritual oppression distorting our brother's perception, bring clarity, discernment, and godly counsel into his life through mature believers and a local church.
We pray that You would provide a wise pastor or trusted Christian brother to walk alongside him, to pray with him, to help him test the spirits, and to encourage him in the Word daily. Let him know he is not alone and that You are his defender and his strong tower. We declare that no undeserved curse will rest upon him because he is covered by the blood of Jesus. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to stay rooted in Scripture daily, to speak the Word of God aloud over your life, to worship and pray in the name of Jesus, and to seek fellowship with solid Bible believing believers who can pray with you in person. Do not seek out confrontation with those you fear, but commit your cause to the Lord who judges righteously. Keep blessing those who you feel curse you, and trust the Lord to be your protector and vindicator.
