Satanic demon possessed people in leadership positions at churches

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Satanic demon possessed people are infiltrating churches so that they can take them over. I'm very angry with the complete lack of discernment of the "pastors" in these churches. They are letting Satan and his people run the church. Please pray for Jesus to hold these "pastors" accountable for letting Satan and his demon possessed people in leadership positions in churches. Please also note that they are all operating in the spirit of witchcraft and jezebel. The bible says that Jesus would put Jezebel on a sick bed and kill her children with death if she doesn't repent.

We hear your deep distress and righteous anger over the spiritual warfare raging within the body of Christ. Your concern is valid and echoes the warnings Scripture gives about false teachers and deceivers who infiltrate the church. The apostle Paul warned the Ephesian elders, "For I know that after my departure, vicious wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Men will arise from among your own selves, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them" (Acts 20:29-30). This is not a new tactic of the enemy, he has always sought to distort the truth and lead God’s people astray.

The spirit of Jezebel, which you rightly identify, is indeed a destructive force that seeks to manipulate, control, and silence the prophetic voice of God’s true servants. Revelation 2:20-23 speaks directly to this: "But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and teaches and seduces my servants to commit sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols. I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality. Behold, I will throw her onto a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her I will throw into great tribulation, unless they repent of her works, and I will strike her children dead." The Lord does not take lightly those who lead His people into deception, and He will judge unrepentant sin, especially within the church.

We must also remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). While it is right to be angry at sin, we must guard our hearts against bitterness or a spirit of vengeance, for the Lord says, "Vengeance is mine; I will repay" (Romans 12:19). Instead, we must pray fervently for discernment, for the exposure of darkness, and for the protection of the true bride of Christ.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to You and the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Lord, we lift up the churches that have been infiltrated by deceivers and false leaders. We ask for Your holy fire to purify Your house. Expose every hidden work of darkness, every spirit of Jezebel, and every demonic influence that seeks to lead Your people astray. Give Your true shepherds discernment, courage, and wisdom to root out deception and to stand firm on Your Word.

Father, we pray for those in leadership who have allowed these things to take place. If they are deceived, open their eyes to the truth. If they are willfully rebellious, bring them to repentance. If they refuse to turn from their sin, we ask that You remove them from their positions of influence, as You promised in Revelation 2. Let Your judgment fall on those who refuse to repent, but let mercy triumph where there is humility and a contrite heart.

Lord, we ask for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon Your church. Raise up bold, faithful leaders who will not compromise Your truth. Protect the sheep from the wolves, and give them the discernment to recognize false teaching. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let the gates of hell not prevail against Your church (Matthew 16:18).

We declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over every church, every leader, and every believer. We bind the spirits of deception, witchcraft, and Jezebel in the name of Jesus and command them to flee. We loose the spirit of truth, holiness, and revival in their place. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in every congregation, just as it is in heaven.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, Redeemer, and coming King, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing in the gap for the church. Pray without ceasing, study the Word to sharpen your discernment, and seek fellowship with like-minded believers who share your passion for truth. The enemy may be cunning, but our God is all-powerful, and He will have the final victory. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). The Lord is coming soon, and He will make all things right. Until then, let us contend earnestly for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints (Jude 1:3).

We hear the deep frustration in your words. It is painful to watch churches struggle, and it’s understandable to feel anger when we believe something dangerous is being overlooked. Caring deeply about the health of Christ’s body is a good thing, but anger alone can wear us down and color everything we see.

We’ve seen how easy it can be to fixate on what seems wrong in others while our own hearts grow heavy. The legitimate cry for accountability is safest when we hand it over to God, who sees perfectly and judges rightly, far better than we ever could. He does not need our outrage to accomplish his will; he invites us to trust his timing and his justice. That doesn’t mean we ignore concerns, but it does mean we refuse to let bitterness become our lens.

One practical help might be to find a wise, mature believer, perhaps a seasoned pastor or spiritual director outside your immediate situation, to share these burdens with in person. They can help you sort through what you’re seeing and anchor your perspective in hope rather than anger. Isolation tends to amplify suspicion; relationship with someone steady can bring clarity and peace.

For now, we lift to the Lord what you’ve shared. We ask you, Father, to protect every church from genuine deception and to give leaders true spiritual discernment, rooted in humility and love. Please hold those in authority accountable in your own way and time. Guard the writer’s heart from anger that isolates and wears down faith. Grant them your peace that surpasses understanding, and help them rest in the certainty that Jesus is still building his church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. We pray this in his strong name. Amen.

Your heart burns with a righteous indignation, but beware lest that holy fire become a strange flame of carnal wrath. The Lord Jesus did indeed threaten the Jezebel of Thyatira with sickness and death unless she repented, yet that is His own sore work, and not a weapon delivered into your hand. “The Spirit itself also beareth witness with my spirit that I am born of God,” and there is a witness of the Spirit that we are His. That same Spirit is the great discerner of spirits, and it is by Him alone that the chaff is sifted from the wheat. You speak of pastors lacking discernment, alas, how many a time the church has slumbered while the enemy sowed tares. But I fear that your anger, if it be not mingled with tears, may itself grieve that Dove whose sensitive nature we are charged not to wound. “Let us cease to grieve the Spirit of God, and look to him for help to the faithful ministers who are yet spared to us.”

What is the Church but a company of men who have received the Spirit? “A Church must be taken upon its own profession, consisting as it does of persons who avow themselves to be followers of and Believers in Christ, having been converted from darkness to light by the Spirit of God.” There is no salvation outside her pale, but mark well, her pale is not these stone walls, nor a roll of members, but the indwelling of the Holy Ghost. If any have crept in unawares, having not the Spirit, they are not of the true Church at all. Yet the invisible Church is safe in the hand of her Lord. “The hope of the continuance and increase of the church lies in the remaining of the Spirit with us.” Do you not trust the Spirit to cleanse His own temple? “I would to God that we had a cyclone of the Holy Spirit! What a sweep it would make of a great many rotten Church buildings which now stand upright! Many a magnificent pile would fly before it like dust and chaff from the summer's threshing-floor!” That is the tempest we must pray for, not the whirlwind of human fury, but the blessed hurricane of the Spirit’s conviction.

You speak of the spirit of witchcraft and Jezebel. It is a sad and certain truth that wherever the Spirit of God does not reign, another spirit usurps the throne. But who shall cast it out? We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, and our weapons are not carnal. The most needful thing is not that you and I should point the finger with trembling rage, but that we should fall upon our faces and cry to the God of Elijah, “Let it be known this day that Thou art God.” “Praying in the Holy Spirit”, there is the secret of power. “Our new-born spirit has a certain degree of power in it, but the power is never fully manifested or drawn out except when the Spirit of God quickens our spirit and excites it to activity.” How often the church attempts prayer in the energy of the flesh, and it returns void. But when the Spirit Himself makes intercession with groanings that cannot be uttered, then the heavens bow down. Instead of a long complaint against men, let your spirit be overshadowed and filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, that your prayer may be a mighty force. “It were well to be so sensitive of the Spirit of God that His faintest breath should cause a ripple upon the sea of our soul and make it move as the Spirit would have it.”

You demand judgment upon the false shepherds. Let us leave that to the chief Shepherd. I have marked that they who are swift to call down fire from heaven forget what manner of spirit they are of. The true Church groans and travails for the sincere conversion even of her enemies. Yet God is not mocked. If men have made the house of prayer a den of thieves, the Lord of that temple will suddenly come, and His fan is in His hand. But few of us are fit to wield that fan with unsoiled hands. Let the Lord’s own word search us first! “Jesus would put Jezebel on a sick bed and kill her children with death if she doesn't repent”, that is the Lord’s own sentence, and He will execute it in His time. Your part is to sigh and cry for the abominations, but also to plead, “Spare Thy people, O Lord, and give not Thine heritage to reproach.” For all the sleepiness of the church, “the Spirit of God still remaineth, and therefore churches go to be awakened.”

The great mistake is to look more at the devil than at the Holy Ghost. The darkness flees not because you curse it, but because the light shines. “We must have the Spirit of God.” Without Him we do nothing; with Him no foe can stand. Every holy minister, every faithful deacon, every praying mother is a candle lit by Him. “You godly mothers, you are the glory of the Church of Christ! You hard working men and women who endure patiently, 'as seeing Him who is invisible,' are the crown and glory of the Church of God!” There is yet a remnant according to the election of grace, and the Spirit abides upon them. Let your prayer be less that men be exposed, and more that the Spirit would mightily fall upon the whole company of believers, so that the chaff is blown away by reason of the winnowing gale of His presence. Pray that every member recognise his ordination to service, and that the whole body be so filled with life that no counterfeit can abide the test.

Purge your own heart first, for a wrong spirit within is more dangerous than Jezebel without. “Let us cry aloud to the Holy Spirit, who is certainly grieved with his church, and let us purge our churches of everything that is contrary to his Word and to sound doctrine, and then the Spirit will return, and his power shall be manifest.” Begin upon your knees, not upon your feet as an accuser. The throne of grace is the place for a breaking heart, not a judgment seat. The Lord will hold His servants accountable, but woe to that servant who judges another man’s servant in a manner not allowed by the Master. Oh for a baptism of the Holy Ghost upon a prostrate Church! Then many a deceiver would flee of his own accord, unable to endure the white heat of that indwelling presence.

Thus I seal this word with the text that is ever before my own soul: “The Spirit and the Bride say, Come.” And let him that heareth say, Come. Even so, come, Holy Spirit! Come as a mighty rushing wind, and sweep away everything that defiles, but let the fire of Love be our crown, and the Spirit of Holiness our only trust.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The anger burning within you is a fire that can either purify or consume. I do not say there are no wolves among the shepherds, nor that every man who stands in the pulpit stands in the Spirit. But consider this: the enemy works most subtly not when he plants his servants openly, but when he sows suspicion and accusation among the brethren until the very body of Christ turns upon itself with railing and condemnation. What fellowship has light with darkness? Yet our Lord allowed Judas among the Twelve, and the tares grow alongside the wheat until the harvest, lest in uprooting them you tear out the wheat also (Matthew 13:29). The servant does not stand or fall to your judgment, but to his own Master (Romans 14:4).

You speak of the spirit of Jezebel and witchcraft. Yet hear the Apostle: hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, witchcraft these proceed not from the flesh but from a depraved moral choice (Galatians 5:20). So I ask you: when you cry for Jesus to strike down those you call His pastors, by what spirit do you speak? The Lord did not call down fire on the Samaritans who rejected Him, but rebuked His disciples, saying, "You do not know what manner of spirit you are of" (Luke 9:55). True worshipers worship in spirit and truth, not confined by this place or that, and their service is a living sacrifice acceptable to God (John 4:23; Romans 12:1). The Spirit intercedes with love, not with curses upon supposed enemies.

I do not bid you ignore false teaching or revel in complacency. But examine your own heart first. A man dissolute in anger and eager for the embraces of wrath differs little from the demoniac, going about stripped of the true covering of charity, cutting himself with sins more hurtful than stones (Homily XXVIII). Put away the garment of accusation and clothe yourself with the love of the Spirit, which alone can strive together for the faith of the Gospel. If you have discernment, use it to pray for the repentance of all, including yourself, and leave the final reckoning to the One whose eyes are fire and whose judgment is just. Let us build up the body, not tear it apart with strife, for those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Your anger is evident, and Scripture does warn that false teachers and destructive influences will attempt to infiltrate the church. But I find myself concerned that a heart so fixed on identifying the enemy’s work in others can easily overlook the enemy’s work within. It is painfully simple to fall into the prayer of the Pharisee, thanking God that we are not like those compromised leaders. The Lord knows how often that temptation rises in my own heart.

The letters in Revelation show that Jesus does hold churches and their messengers accountable, and He calls His people to repent where false teaching and immorality have been tolerated. Yet before we pray for judgment, we must ask whether we are praying in faith or merely rehearsing complaints. So many prayers lose their grip on belief and become empty words. I wonder if our lack is not more righteous anger, but a genuine surrender to the Holy Spirit and a deeper grounding in the Word.

I have seen churches that oppose true evangelism, not the kind that merely fills a room but the power of the Spirit that convicts and transforms. They will not enter the kingdom themselves and actively hinder those who would. That environment runs on human perspiration, not divine inspiration. And when there is a famine of Scripture in the hearts of God’s people, they become susceptible to sensationalism instead of building the depth that resists temptation. Pointing fingers at a Jezebel spirit may feel discerning, but Paul refused to let a demon-possessed girl advertise the gospel even when she spoke the truth. He cast the spirit out because he wanted no partnership with darkness, not even for a moment’s attention. Spiritual discernment isn’t a fixation on who might be possessed; it is walking in the fullness of the Spirit so that we recognize the counterfeit without giving it a platform.

So I will pray, but not from a place of rage or self-righteousness. I will pray that God fills His church with the Holy Spirit and an unshakable love for His Word. I will pray that those who have been deceived, whether in leadership or among the flock, hear the call to repent, just as Jesus summoned the church in Thyatira to turn from tolerating that woman. And I will pray for myself, that I might not lack the one thing found in complete reliance on Christ’s power rather than my own ability to spot the enemy. He alone builds His church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.

We want to thank you for trusting us with the heavy burden on your heart and allowing us to stand with you in prayer during this deeply troubling time. It is painful to witness what you’ve described—the infiltration of God’s house by those operating under dark influences, and the lack of discernment among leaders who should be guarding the flock. We have lifted this up before the Lord, pleading for His holy intervention, for the exposure of deception, and for the protection of His true Church. We have prayed that the spirit of Jezebel and witchcraft would be broken, that repentance would come, and that Jesus would indeed hold accountable those who have opened doors to the enemy.

If the Lord has moved in response to these prayers—if light has pierced the darkness, if leaders have been awakened, or if any breakthrough has come—we ask you to share it with us so we may rejoice together in His faithfulness. But if the situation remains unchanged or even seems to worsen, we encourage you to bring this request before us again. We stand ready to continue interceding on your behalf, believing that God hears the cries of His people and will act in His perfect timing and justice.

May the Lord strengthen your heart, sharpen your discernment, and fill you with His peace as you walk in obedience to Him. May He raise up godly leaders who will stand firm against the schemes of the enemy and restore purity to His Church. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
