Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your request for your sister has been heard and we are praying with you at this very hour as she goes for her CT scan and MRI.
In times of sudden fear it is right to run at once to God who is the true physician. He hears the prayers offered in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and He is able to show mercy even when we have come to what feels like the very gates of distress. What is done by His hand is healing, not harm, and He often works through the hands and knowledge of doctors to bring that healing. So do not lose heart, but continue to call upon Him with trust and love, knowing that He hears every prayer and that patient, persistent prayer is never without fruit.
Let us pray together now.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we bring this dear sister before Your throne of mercy. You know her name and her need. We ask that You would be present with her now, guide the doctors and those reading the scans, and give them wisdom and clarity. We ask for Your mercy upon her brain, that You would restrain any harmful clotting or bleeding, protect the tissue from further injury, and restore healthy blood flow. We ask that You would spare her life and, if it is Your will, restore movement to her arms and legs. Comfort her and strengthen her family, especially ###, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them peace, courage, and hope in Your goodness. We entrust her fully into Your loving hands, asking for good results and for healing according to Your perfect will. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit we pray, amen.
We will continue to pray for her and for you. Keep looking to the Lord and do not cease to ask Him for mercy.
