Same America To Celebrate This Fourth Of July?

Where we are and should be thankful for Our Freedoms, Our Heritage and much of Our History; We should be mindful and mournful of the stench of Sin we have been wafting up to heaven since the 50s, increasing in the 60s, removing The Lord's Prayer and Bible reading from Public Schools, the influx of drugs and new age / other religions, free "love" and abortion, funding international abortion, increased debt, decline in church attendance, faith in God's Authoritative Word, Removing the 10 Commandments from Church buildings, increase of euthanasia and the increasing legalization of what God directly forbids and opposes. Our teaching in public schools is flat out false doctrine and 1984's prediction of history being rewritten and surveillance increasing are proving amazingly accurate.

A lot more people will be celebrating America for a lot of different reasons from those in 1945, and far different from the One on July 4th, 1782, the first 4th of July after the surrender of British Major General Charles, Earl Cornwallis at Yorktown, Virginia on October 19, 1781, ending the Siege of Yorktown, and virtually guaranteeing American independence. When we celebrate America tonight, let's be sure we are celebrating the things we still have only a remnant of, and celebrating the things we once were, and praying for a continuance of the things we are in danger of losing altogether.

There will certainly be coming a greater loss of the True Christian's Freedom of Speech. People said they would never take prayer out of school, people said the same about abortion, and recently had the same opinion regarding what are jaws are still on the ground about. Fasten your seat belts, things are speeding up. Hopefully our prayers can slow things down a little, and reach more "while we have the light" John 12:35. "let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves together (the answer to America's Decline in Sunday Morning, Evening Services, Mid-Week Church Attendance, Prayer Meetings) but let us do so all the more as we see the day approaching" (Heb 10:25). Pray for the Preservation of Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the Press, and the Right to Assemble together. They have a target on them, for they too could fold and fall almost as quickly as The Towers...

Here is a quick history of the observance of the 4th. See how we have drifted from the first in 1777. Respects to Wikipedia:

In 1777, thirteen gunshots were fired in salute, once at morning and once again as evening fell, on July 4 in Bristol, Rhode Island. Philadelphia celebrated the first anniversary in a manner a modern American would find quite familiar: an official dinner for the Continental Congress, toasts, 13-gun salutes, speeches, prayers, music, parades, troop reviews, and fireworks. Ships were decked with red, white, and blue bunting.[14]
In 1778, from his headquarters at Ross Hall, near New Brunswick, New Jersey, General George Washington marked July 4 with a double ration of rum for his soldiers and an artillery salute (feu de joie). Across the Atlantic Ocean, ambassadors John Adams and Benjamin Franklin held a dinner for their fellow Americans in Paris, France.[15]
In 1779, July 4 fell on a Sunday. The holiday was celebrated on Monday, July 5.[15]
In 1781 the Massachusetts General Court became the first state legislature to recognize July 4 as a state celebration.[15]
In 1783, Moravians in Salem, North Carolina, held a celebration of July 4 with a challenging music program assembled by Johann Friedrich Peter. This work was titled "The Psalm of Joy." This is recognized as the first recorded celebration and is still celebrated there today.[16]
In 1791 the first recorded use of the name "Independence Day" occurred.[citation needed]
In 1870, the U.S. Congress made Independence Day an unpaid holiday for federal employees.[17]
In 1938, Congress changed Independence Day to a paid federal holiday.[18]
