We lift these dear souls before the throne of grace, asking the Holy Spirit to move mightily in their lives. Father, we pray for the woman grieving the loss of her mother, that You would comfort her with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we ask that You break the chains of deception that have kept her bound to new age teachings. Open her eyes to the truth of Your Word and draw her back to the faith she once professed. Let her see that You alone are the source of true comfort and hope, not the empty promises of false philosophies.
For the other woman who has spoken of deliverance from the new age, we pray that You would complete the work You have begun in her (Philippians 1:6). Lord, we ask that You guard her heart against any lingering deception and fill her with the knowledge of Your will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding (Colossians 1:9). Help her to walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing You in every way. We also lift up the child caught in the middle of this broken situation. Father, we ask that You protect this little one’s heart and mind, shielding them from the bitterness and strife that surrounds them. Let them see Your love and grace, even in the midst of brokenness, and may they one day come to know You as their Savior.
We must address the sin of fornication that has taken place here, as Scripture is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4). This is not to condemn but to call to repentance, for You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that both individuals would turn from this sin and seek Your forgiveness and restoration.
We also rebuke the false teachings and cult-like behavior that have infiltrated the lives of those professing to be Christians. Jesus warned us that false prophets would come, disguised as sheep but inwardly ravenous wolves (Matthew 7:15). Lord, expose the lies and deception that have taken root in their lives. Bring them to a true knowledge of Your Word and a genuine relationship with You. Let them see that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
We are deeply concerned about the mistreatment and negative words being spoken, especially in the presence of a child. Scripture tells us that the tongue has the power of life and death (Proverbs 18:21), and we pray that You would bridle the tongues of all involved. Let Your love and grace prevail, and may the words spoken bring life, not destruction. Father, we ask that You would soften hearts and bring reconciliation where it is possible, always pointing to Your truth and Your ways.
We also lift up the one who has brought this request before us. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen their faith and give them wisdom as they navigate these complex situations. Help them to be a light in the darkness, pointing others to You with love and truth. Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season they will reap a harvest if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. We pray that these individuals would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, repenting of their sins and turning to You with all their hearts. May they experience the transformative power of Your love and grace, and may their lives bring glory and honor to Your name. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
