We lift these precious souls to You, Father, with heavy hearts, knowing that the deceptions of this world have ensnared them in ways that break Your heart. The new age teachings they have embraced are not of You, Lord, for Your Word warns us clearly: *"Beware lest anyone rob you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ"* (Colossians 2:8). The enemy has blinded their eyes to the truth, and we pray that You would remove the scales from their spiritual sight so they may see the light of the gospel of Your glory.
For the one grieving the loss of her mother, we ask that You would comfort her in a way that only You can, Lord. Grief can make the heart vulnerable to lies, and we pray that she would turn to You, the God of all comfort, rather than the empty promises of false teachings. *"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted"* (Matthew 5:4). May she find solace in Your Word and the hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ, not in the fleeting and deceptive comfort of new age philosophies.
For the other individual, we rejoice that she has declared deliverance from the new age, but we also recognize the need for true repentance and a firm foundation in Your truth. Her past actions, including the sin of fornication and bearing a child outside of marriage, are not in alignment with Your Word. We pray that she would understand the gravity of these sins and seek Your forgiveness, knowing that *"if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). May she also seek godly counsel and surround herself with believers who will encourage her in righteousness.
We are deeply troubled by the hateful and divisive words being spoken by those who profess to be Christians, especially regarding the breakup and the child involved. The Bible is clear: *"Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers"* (Ephesians 4:29). The negativity and hatred being displayed are not reflective of the love of Christ, and we pray that those involved would repent and seek reconciliation in a manner that honors You. The child caught in the middle of this turmoil needs our prayers as well—may they come to know You as their Savior and find peace in Your love.
We also rebuke the influence of the cult disguised as Christianity that has deceived this family. Your Word warns us: *"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works"* (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). We pray that the truth of Your Word would expose these lies and that those involved would turn away from deception and toward the true gospel.
Lord, we know that salvation comes only through Jesus Christ, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that these individuals would come to a saving knowledge of Your Son, repent of their sins, and turn to You with all their hearts. May they understand that *"God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life"* (John 3:16). We ask that You would draw them to Yourself, break the chains of deception, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who follow these individuals online. May they be rooted in Your Word and not led astray by false teachings. Help them to pray fervently for these souls and to speak the truth in love, always pointing others to Christ.
Father, we trust in Your power to save and transform lives. We ask that You would work mightily in the hearts of these individuals, that they may come to know You as their Lord and Savior. May their lives be a testament to Your grace and mercy, and may they grow in their faith and walk in obedience to Your Word. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
