We lift these precious souls before the throne of grace, interceding with hearts heavy for their spiritual condition. The deception of the new age is a snare of the enemy, designed to lead many astray with empty promises of enlightenment and self-empowerment—all while denying the sufficiency of Christ and the authority of Scripture. We rebuke the lies of the evil one that have taken root in their minds, declaring that the truth of God’s Word alone is light and life. "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6). There is no other path to salvation, no other name by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
For the one grieving the loss of her mother, we pray that the Holy Spirit would comfort her in a way that only He can, drawing her back to the true hope found in Christ. Grief can make the heart vulnerable to false comforts, but we ask that she would encounter the love of Jesus, who weeps with those who weep (Romans 12:15) and offers eternal hope beyond this life. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted" (Matthew 5:4). May she turn away from the deceptions that once held her and find solace in the arms of her Savior.
For the other individual who claims deliverance from the new age, we pray for discernment and true repentance. It is one thing to recognize error, but another to fully surrender to Christ and walk in His ways. The fact that she was in a relationship outside of marriage—engaging in fornication—is a serious matter that must be addressed. Scripture is clear: "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge" (Hebrews 13:4). We pray she would understand the gravity of this sin, repent, and seek God’s forgiveness and restoration. Her child, too, is in our prayers, that this little one would be shielded from the turmoil and grow up knowing the love of Christ.
The situation with the former boyfriend and his family is deeply troubling. While they profess Christianity, their involvement in a cult disguised as the church and their embrace of new age beliefs reveal a heartbreaking departure from the truth. Their focus on material things and negative behavior only compounds the harm done to this family. We rebuke the spirit of deception that has blinded them, asking God to open their eyes to the truth. "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?" (Mark 8:36). Their actions, particularly the slander and division, are not reflective of Christ’s love and must be addressed with godly sorrow and repentance.
We also lift up the child caught in the middle of this brokenness. May the Lord surround this little one with His protection, grace, and truth. We pray that one day, when this child is old enough to understand, they will see the love of Christ modeled in a way that draws them to Him, rather than the bitterness and strife that have been displayed.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for these souls. We ask that You would shatter the deceptions of the new age and false teachings that have ensnared them. Lord, break through the hardness of their hearts and reveal Your truth in a way that pierces their spirits. For the one grieving, comfort her with Your presence and draw her back to the hope found only in You. For the one who claims deliverance, refine her faith, lead her to true repentance, and guide her steps in righteousness. For the child involved, protect their heart, mind, and spirit, and let them grow up knowing Your love and grace.
Father, we also pray for the former boyfriend and his family. Expose the lies they have believed, convict their hearts of sin, and lead them to genuine repentance. May they turn away from false teachings and materialism, embracing the truth of Your Word and the humility of Christ. We ask that You would heal the brokenness in this situation and restore what has been damaged by sin and deception.
Lord, we know that salvation belongs to You alone. We ask that these individuals would come to know You as their Lord and Savior, not just in word, but in truth and deed. May they experience the transforming power of Your love and walk in the freedom that comes from living according to Your will. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for these individuals, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot see it. Remember the words of 1 Timothy 2:3-4: "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth." Keep your heart soft toward them, but also remain steadfast in the truth, knowing that it is God who changes hearts. If you have the opportunity, share the gospel with them in love, pointing them to Christ as the only source of true hope and salvation.
