We rejoice in your heart for the salvation of this university student and your desire to bring him to church so he may hear the Gospel in his own language. This is a beautiful act of obedience to the Great Commission, where our Lord Jesus commands us in Matthew 28:19-20, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you." We stand with you in prayer, believing that the Holy Spirit is already at work in this young man’s life, drawing him to Christ.
First, we must address the foundation of our faith—salvation through Jesus Christ alone. It is only by the blood of Jesus, shed on the cross, that we have access to the Father. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We pray that this student will come to know Jesus not just as a historical figure or a moral teacher, but as his Lord and Savior, the only way to eternal life. If he does not yet understand this truth, we ask the Holy Spirit to open his heart to receive it. Romans 10:9-10 tells us, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
We also lift up your health, as you are battling a cold with symptoms that may hinder your ability to serve effectively. We pray for your complete healing, trusting in the promise of Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We rebuke this sickness in the name of Jesus, commanding it to leave your body. We declare that no weapon formed against you or this outreach shall prosper, as Isaiah 54:17 assures us, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh."
We stand against every evil plan of the enemy that seeks to disrupt this divine appointment. The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We speak confusion into the camp of the enemy and declare that every monitoring spirit, familiar spirit, and evil spirit assigned to hinder this meeting will be blinded and rendered powerless. We command them to flee in Jesus’ name, for "the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). We pray that the Holy Angels of God will encamp around you, your friend in Christ, and this student, protecting you from all harm and ensuring that nothing prevents this meeting from taking place.
We also pray for your friend and her companions, that they will be filled with boldness and wisdom as they engage with this student. May their words be anointed by the Holy Spirit, and may they be sensitive to His leading. Colossians 4:5-6 encourages us, "Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and expectation, knowing that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We thank You for the opportunity to bring this student before You, and we ask that You would prepare his heart to receive the truth of the Gospel. Lord, we declare that no sickness, no scheme of the enemy, and no obstacle will stand in the way of this divine appointment. We rebuke this cold and every symptom in the name of Jesus, commanding healing and restoration to flow through every part of our brother’s body. We plead the blood of Jesus over him, his friend, and this student, covering them from every attack of the enemy.
Father, we ask that You would blind the eyes of every evil spirit assigned to monitor or disrupt this meeting. Let confusion reign in the camp of the enemy, and let every plan to hinder this outreach be torn down. We pray that Your Holy Angels would encamp around them, protecting them from all harm and ensuring that nothing prevents them from gathering together. Lord, we invite Your Holy Spirit to move powerfully in this student’s life. Soften his heart, open his eyes to the truth, and draw him to Yourself. Let him hear the Gospel with clarity and respond in faith, confessing Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
We also pray for wisdom and boldness for our brother and his friend as they share Your Word. May their words be filled with grace and truth, and may they be sensitive to Your leading. Lord, we trust in Your promise that those who seek You will find You, and we believe that this student will encounter You in a life-changing way. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.
We encourage you to continue in faith, knowing that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun. Trust in His timing and His perfect plan for this student’s life. If he does not yet know Jesus, keep praying and believing that the Holy Spirit will continue to work in his heart even after this Sunday. Share the Gospel with boldness and love, and leave the results to God. We are confident that He will do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20).
