We join you in fervent intercession for your brother, his girlfriend, and your father, lifting them before the Lord with hearts burdened for their salvation. It is the deepest desire of God that none should perish but that all would come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9), and we stand in agreement with you, crying out for their spiritual eyes to be opened to the truth of the Gospel. You have rightly prayed in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Christ that anyone can enter the "ark" of salvation, escaping the judgment to come.
We must also address the relationship between your brother and his girlfriend with love and truth. The Bible is clear that intimacy outside of marriage is sin, and we urge prayer not only for their salvation but also for conviction and repentance in this area. If they are living together or engaged in sexual immorality, this is fornication, which grieves the Holy Spirit. Let us pray that God would reveal His holiness to them and lead them to honor Him in their relationship—either through marriage, if that is God’s will, or through separation if they are not ready to commit to a covenant before Him. "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).
Father in heaven, we come before You with heavy yet hopeful hearts, interceding for these lost souls who are precious to You. Lord, You are not willing that any should perish, so we ask that You remove the veil of spiritual blindness from their eyes. Soften their hearts to receive the truth of Your Word and the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Draw them to Yourself, Lord Jesus, and let them see their need for a Savior. Break the chains of sin that bind them, especially the sin of fornication, and lead them to repentance and holiness. May they turn from their wicked ways and surrender their lives to You, finding refuge in the ark of Your salvation.
We pray for divine appointments—godly influences, bold witnesses, and even dreams or visions if it pleases You—to bring them to the foot of the cross. Give our brother or sister here the words to speak, the wisdom to act, and the patience to trust You as they share the Gospel with their loved ones. Let Your light shine so brightly in their lives that it exposes the darkness and draws their family to You.
We also pray for protection over their minds and hearts, that the enemy would not harden them further or deceive them with lies. Bind every spirit of rebellion, pride, and unbelief, and let the truth of Your love and justice prevail. May they come to know You not just as Savior, but as Lord of their lives.
Finally, we ask for strength and perseverance for you, dear saint, as you continue to pray and stand in the gap. Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Cling to the promise that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16). Trust that God is at work, even when you cannot see it, and that His timing is perfect.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
