We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious daughter in prayer. Father God, we ask for Your mighty healing hand to rest upon her as she battles Wernicke’s encephalopathy. You are the Great Physician, the One who formed her in her mother’s womb and knows every cell in her body. We declare Your promise from Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh.
Lord, we pray specifically for her ability to swallow, that You would restore strength and function to her muscles and nerves. We ask that You would calm the fever raging in her body, for You are the God who commands even the elements. We trust in Your power to heal, as You did for the woman with the issue of blood when she simply touched the hem of Your garment. May Your healing virtue flow through her now.
We also lift up her children, Lord. You see their little hearts and the fear they must be carrying. Comfort them with Your presence, and surround them with godly people who will speak peace and hope into their lives. Help them to trust in You, even in this difficult time.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that may be trying to take hold in this situation. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your Word, which says that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life and restoration over her body, mind, and spirit.
We also want to gently remind you, dear one, that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and it is through Him that we find true healing—spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for this beloved daughter. We ask for Your healing touch to restore her health completely. Strengthen her body, Lord, and remove every trace of this illness. We pray for wisdom and compassion for the medical team treating her, that they would be guided by Your hand in every decision.
Father, we also pray for her family. Give them peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Provide for their every need, both practical and emotional. Help them to lean on You and on one another, trusting in Your faithfulness.
We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that she will rise up from this sickness, testifying to Your goodness and mercy. We thank You for hearing our prayer, and we trust in Your perfect will for her life. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
