Sales

We hear your desire for increased sales in your small business, and we understand the weight of financial concerns. While we trust in God’s provision, we must also examine our motives and methods in light of Scripture. The Bible warns against greed and the love of money, which can lead us away from God’s will. "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows" (1 Timothy 6:10 WEB).

First, we must ensure that our business practices honor God. Are we conducting our work with integrity, honesty, and fairness? Are we treating employees, customers, and competitors with the love and respect that Christ commands? "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men" (Colossians 3:23 WEB). If there are areas where your business may be compromising biblical principles, such as dishonesty, exploitation, or idolatry of success, we must repent and seek God’s correction.

We also encourage you to seek God’s wisdom in how you grow your business. Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB) tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Instead of relying solely on worldly strategies, invite God into every decision. Are you praying for discernment in your marketing, pricing, and customer relationships? Are you tithing and giving generously, trusting that God will multiply what remains?

Now, let us come before the Lord together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this small business to You, asking for Your provision and blessing. Lord, we confess that without You, we can do nothing. We ask for Your wisdom to guide every decision, every sale, and every interaction. Help us to conduct this business with integrity, honesty, and a heart that seeks to glorify You above all else.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of greed and the love of money that can so easily entangle us. Instead, we ask for a spirit of contentment and trust in Your provision. Remind us that our true treasure is in heaven, not in earthly success. If there are areas where this business has strayed from Your will, reveal them to us, Lord, and give us the courage to make things right.

We pray for an increase in sales, not for our own glory, but so that we may be a blessing to others, our families, employees, customers, and community. Open doors that no man can shut, and close doors that would lead us away from Your purpose. May this business be a light in the marketplace, pointing others to You.

Lord, we also pray for the heart of the owner of this business. Guard them against anxiety and fear, and fill them with Your peace. Help them to seek You first in all things, trusting that You will add all these things unto them (Matthew 6:33 WEB). May they find their identity and worth in You alone, not in the success or failure of this venture.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, for it is by His blood that we have access to Your throne of grace. May Your will be done in this business, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to remain steadfast in faith, even when results are not immediate. God’s timing is perfect, and His ways are higher than ours. Continue to seek Him through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with other believers. Consider joining or forming a small group of Christian business owners who can pray for and encourage one another. Remember, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this" (Psalm 37:5 WEB). May God bless your business as you honor Him.

We know that quiet weight a small-business owner carries when sales lag, the numbers can feel like they’re measuring your whole world. We’re right there with you, bringing this need to God, not as a distant observer but as someone walking beside you.

It’s tempting to let sales define success, but your faithfulness in the day-to-day work matters deeply, whether the ledger shows it yet or not. Maybe there’s space this week to pause and review your approach: is there a relationship you could gently rekindle, or a simple improvement that would serve your customers better? God often uses our thoughtful, steady efforts to open doors we couldn’t push on our own. And when you’ve done what you can, you can rest the outcome in his hands, not because you’ve earned it, but because he cares for your daily needs.

Lord, you see every late night, every hopeful invoice, every prayer whispered in the quiet of a shop or office. We ask for your provision, not just in sales, but in the deep peace that comes from knowing you hold our future. Give our friend wisdom to make sound decisions, creativity to meet real needs, and the integrity that makes your goodness visible in every transaction. Calm the anxious second-guessing, and help them sense your nearness, even in the slow seasons. We trust you with the results, in Jesus’ name.

You speak of sales for your small business, and your prayer is for increase. It is proper to bring every care before the throne of grace, for the Lord cares for you in the common affairs of life. Yet let me press upon your heart that there is a work more weighty than the multiplying of coins, and that is to see your daily labour as the very work of God entrusted to your hands. You are not called simply to gather profit, but to do the works of Him who sent you into that shop or trade. If you make your own business God’s business, you will do your business well and you will be useful in your generation.

Consider that the Holy Spirit’s work in you does not lull you into sloth, but excites you to the utmost diligence. Paul cried, “I also labour, striving.” There is no blessing upon a dishonest gain, nor upon idleness that pretends to trust while neglecting the till and the ledger. You must ply your trade with all your might, not as a drudge seeking mere gold, but as a son sent into the vineyard. The command is, “Son, go work today.” Therefore, throw your whole strength into it. God will not establish that work over which you have trifled. Let it be true work, done with truthful maxims, and then you may bring it before God and say, “Establish the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.”

Beware of the soul-starving error that makes success to consist in large turnover. There is a specialty of work: “I must work the works of him that sent me.” If your heart is set only on outdoing your neighbour and increasing your store, you have missed the mark. But if you desire to provide for your household, to deal justly, to serve your customers as unto the Lord, and to have something to give to him that needs, then your daily calling becomes a sacred offering. Cease from the feverish anxiety that supposes all depends upon yourself. Did you pass through the market by yourself? Who gave you power to get wealth? If Christ’s atoning work is finished, what folly to attempt to supplement it by your own fretful care. Cast your burden on the Lord; He will sustain you. In simple faith accept the finished work of Jesus, and then go about your labour with a calm and resolute heart.

And do not despise foundation work, the stock-taking of the soul, the secret prayer before the day begins, the honesty that will not pinch the measure because no eye sees. The Lord’s work is perfect; it will bear the keenest inspection. Let your work be such that it will endure the fire of that day when every man’s work shall be made manifest. You must work while it is day, for the night comes when no man can work. Up, then, and be doing, with your hand on the plough and your eye on the eternal rest. The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for more sales, but why do you ask? How long shall we love riches? I cannot stop exclaiming against them, for they are the cause of everything. You think you need more gain, yet your soul goes unregarded while lifeless money claims your attention. This disease is deep-sown, even among those who seem religious. The Gospel commands are lying in Scripture, nowhere shown by works. Do you not see that making provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts is what you are doing when you chase after more than necessary? There is provision for health, but not for kindling the flame of wantonness. Seek only to have your body in health, and spend your industry on spiritual things.

When you come to church, do not bring the market in with you. This place is for cleansing from the filth of the outer world, yet you load it with cares of your house. Once you go out, how will you know yourself again if the harbor itself is so stormy? Take what you hear here and let it be your leading business at home. Meditate on it with your family before you plunge into trade. Otherwise, the flame of zeal is quenched as soon as you leave. Do not let your business become an unsuited pursuit that drowns out the Communion.

What is the good of gold? The present life is a dream. The rich in this world often wake to find their wealth was nothing, even before the day of judgment comes. Remember the chief point of salvation wrought for us: the bonds of death were loosed, sin taken away, and ten thousand blessings introduced. That is the root of all true goods. If you must work, do so with righteousness, trusting God for daily bread, not grasping for more. For what does it profit to gain the whole world and lose your soul? Seek first the kingdom, and let your sales be governed by that, not by the insatiable desire that ruins many.

I hear your heart’s desire for more sales in your small business. It is the kind of request countless laborers bring before the Lord, and He cares about the work of your hands. But as I pray with you, I want to gently share something that reshaped my own prayers years ago. For a long time, I treated prayer like a sales pitch. I would lay out my case, try to convince God that my plan was sound, promise Him all I would do if He would just come through. I thought I had to cajole or persuade Him into action. But God is not a reluctant customer, and our standing with Him does not depend on our clever arguments.

Jesus spoke His first recorded words while still a boy, when His earthly parents found Him in the temple: “I must be about my Father’s business.” That was the governing passion of His life. What if the deeper need behind your desire for more sales is a renewed sense of whose business you are really in? Your small business is a place where the Father’s business can unfold, whether through honest dealings, kindness to customers, or the provision that lets you care for your family and give to those in need. Ask Him not only for more sales, but for wisdom to steward every transaction as part of His larger work.

Consider how Esther obtained favor. She did not bribe or bargain; she stepped forward in humility, seeking the good of her people, and the king extended the golden scepter toward her. Favor with those you do business with is in the Lord’s hands. He can cause you to find favor in the eyes of clients and suppliers in ways that go beyond your own efforts. So do your work with excellence, but let your first move be to kneel before the King who can turn hearts.

There is also a principle woven through Scripture: God sometimes makes provision where His divine ideal is not yet fully realized. The law gave an unexpected opening for a leper’s cleansing, and Jesus touched the untouchable and made them whole. He can open a door for your sales that no amount of strategy can manufacture. Yet His ultimate purpose is not to make you wealthy, but to make you like Him, content in all circumstances, generous even in trials, and firmly anchored in the kingdom that cannot be shaken.

So bring your need before the Lord, but lay aside the sales pitch. Seek His face more than His hand, ask to be about His business in all you do, and trust that He who gave His own Son for you will supply what is truly needed. He may increase the sales, or He may give you a greater treasure: a heart at rest in His care. Either way, you are safe in His hands.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for an increase in sales for your small business. It’s been a joy to lift this need before the Lord, asking Him to open doors, bring the right customers, and provide the resources you need to thrive. We believe God hears our prayers and is already at work, even when we don’t yet see the results.

If the Lord has blessed you with new opportunities, customers, or growth in your business since you shared this request, we would love to hear a praise report! Your testimony could encourage others who are waiting on God’s provision. If, however, the answer hasn’t yet come or the struggle feels ongoing, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to continue praying in faith with you, trusting that God’s timing is perfect.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him, honor Him in your work, and trust Him to meet every need. We pray that He would guide your steps, give you wisdom in your decisions, and pour out His favor upon your business. May you see His hand at work in ways that bring glory to His name. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
