We join with you in lifting up this journey to our Heavenly Father, knowing that He is the one who watches over our coming and going, both now and forevermore. It is wonderful to see your trust in God’s protection, and we echo your prayers for safety, peace, and good health as you travel. However, we must gently but firmly remind you that our prayers are only heard and answered because of the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is through Him alone that we boldly approach the throne of grace. The scriptures tell us in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we read, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* So, we must always pray in the name of Jesus, giving Him the glory and honor due to His name.
We also notice the anxiety and fear you are experiencing as this is your first international trip. The Word of God speaks directly to this in Philippians 4:6-7: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* And again in 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Your fear is not from God, so we rebuke it in the name of Jesus, commanding it to leave you now. You are covered by the blood of Jesus, and He has not given you a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind.
As for your travels, we are reminded of Psalm 121, which assures us that our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. *"He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will preserve your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more."* What a mighty promise! He is faithful to guard you every step of the way.
We also pray for your health during this trip. The Lord is your healer, and we trust in His promise from Psalm 91:9-10: *"Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling."* We declare this over you and your companions, that the Lord will shield you from sickness and harm, and that you will return home safely to your family, full of joy and gratitude for His faithfulness.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your promise to hear us when we pray in His name, and we lift up this journey to You, trusting in Your sovereign care. Lord, we ask that You surround this traveler and their companions with Your angels, encamping around them as they go out and as they return. Protect them from every danger seen and unseen—from accidents, from illness, from harm, and from the schemes of the enemy. Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear and anxiety in the name of Jesus, and we declare that Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we pray for divine favor over this trip. May every connection be smooth, every document in order, and every step directed by You. Give them wisdom in all their decisions and grace in every interaction. Keep them healthy and strong, and let this journey be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness. May they return home safely, with hearts overflowing with praise for Your protection and provision.
We also pray that this time away will draw them closer to You, Lord. Open their eyes to see Your hand at work in every detail, and may they encounter Your presence in new and powerful ways. If there are divine appointments or opportunities to share Your love along the way, give them the courage and words to speak boldly for Your glory.
Father, we commit this entire journey into Your hands, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun. Thank You for Your promises, which never fail. Thank You for Your peace, which guards us. And Thank You for Your love, which never lets us go. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord throughout this trip. Spend time in His Word, in prayer, and in worship, even as you travel. Let this be a time of drawing near to Him, trusting that He is with you every step of the way. And when fears or anxieties arise, speak the Word of God over yourself and remind the enemy of the promises of your Father. You are not alone—He goes before you, He stands beside you, and He will bring you safely home. Trust in Him, and He will never fail you. Godspeed, and may the Lord bless you abundantly!
