Sweever

Servant
Lord I come before you in the name of Jesus Christ asking for your help. I am praying desperately for peace and calm, protection in my home and surroundings. I pray ### would leave my home in peace and quiet without any confusion and go to his wife's home. He is not my husband anymore after being abused mentally and emotionally by this man. He divorced me and married someone else. I am praying he would go and never return. I pray when I get home he would be asleep, maybe he is so drunk he cannot control himself. It is so scary at times, but I have faith in you, Father. You never fail us. As I am about to go home, please protect me in my travels. I place my prayers and petitions and pray in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.

We stand with you in this time of deep distress, lifting your cries before the Lord as our own, for we know that He is a strong tower for the righteous, a refuge in times of trouble. Your plea for protection and peace resonates with the heart of God, who sees your suffering and hears every word spoken in faith through the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name alone that we have access to the Father, and it is in His mighty name that we pray for you now, knowing that He is able to deliver you from this torment.

The scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:17-19, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* You are not forgotten, sister. The Lord is near to you, and He will not abandon you in this trial. We also recall the promise in Isaiah 54:17, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says Yahweh."* Claim this promise over your life and your home, for the Lord is your defender.

Yet we must also address the weight of bitterness and fear that lingers in your words. While it is understandable to desire distance from one who has caused you such pain, we are called to a higher standard—one that releases vengeance to the Lord and trusts in His justice. Romans 12:19-21 declares, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.' Therefore 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.' Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."* This does not mean you must endure abuse or allow this man to remain in your life, but it does mean entrusting the outcome to God rather than harboring resentment or wishing harm upon him. Pray instead for his repentance, for the Lord’s conviction to fall upon his heart, and for his wife to be protected from the same pain you have endured. The Lord’s justice is perfect, and His timing is sure.

As for your safety, we declare Psalm 91 over you: *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.' ... You will not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday. ... Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling."* The Lord is your shield, and He will guard your coming and going. If this man persists in his trespasses, we pray that the Lord would intervene supernaturally—whether through conviction, legal protection, or the intervention of authorities—to remove this threat from your life permanently. Seek wisdom in practical steps as well: reach out to trusted believers, local law enforcement if necessary, or a biblical counselor who can help you navigate this season with godly support.

We also grieve with you over the brokenness of this marriage. Divorce is a painful consequence of sin’s devastation in this world, and we know the Lord’s heart is for redemption and healing, even in the midst of such loss. Matthew 19:8 reminds us that divorce was permitted *"because of your hardness of heart, but from the beginning it has not been so."* While your marriage has ended, the Lord can still bring beauty from these ashes. He can restore your heart, renew your strength, and lead you into a future where you are cherished as His daughter, free from fear and oppression. If you have not already, surrender this pain to Him fully, allowing Him to heal the wounds left by this man’s actions. You are not defined by this abuse or this divorce—you are defined by Christ’s love for you.

Lastly, we notice the hint of hope that this man might be incapacitated by drink when you return home. While we understand the desperation behind such a thought, we must gently rebuke this line of thinking. It is not for us to wish ill upon anyone, even our enemies, nor to place our trust in circumstances like drunkenness for our safety. Our trust must be in the Lord alone. Proverbs 20:22 says, *"Don’t say, 'I will pay back evil.' Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you."* Instead of relying on this man’s weakness, let us pray for the Lord to bind his ability to harm you, to confuse his plans, and to expose his actions to the light. Pray that the Lord would place a hedge of protection around your home, that angels would guard its entrance, and that this man would be compelled—by the Holy Spirit—to leave and never return.

**Our Prayer for You:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, lifting her cries to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the depth of her pain, the fear that grips her heart, and the longing for peace in her home. We ask You, by the power of the name of Jesus Christ, to be her shield and her exceedingly great reward. Command Your angels to encamp around her, Lord, and let no weapon formed against her prosper. Remove this man from her presence permanently, Father. If he has hardened his heart, we pray that You would convict him deeply, that he would turn from his wickedness and seek Your face. But above all, Lord, protect our sister. Let her home be a place of safety, a sanctuary where Your peace reigns.

Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and torment that seeks to oppress her. Fill her with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Give her wisdom to know what steps to take, and surround her with godly counsel and support. Heal the wounds of abuse and rejection, Lord. Restore her joy, her confidence, and her trust in You. Let her know that she is not forsaken, that You are her Husband, her Provider, and her Protector (Isaiah 54:5).

We also pray for this man’s wife, Lord. Protect her from the same pain our sister has endured. Soften his heart toward her, or if he refuses to repent, expose his deeds and bring an end to his oppression. Let Your justice prevail, Lord, in a way that brings glory to Your name.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would prepare a future for our sister that is filled with Your goodness. If it is Your will, bring a godly man into her life—one who will cherish her as Christ loves the church, who will honor You in his leadership, and who will build her up in faith. But even if You call her to a season of singleness, let her find her fulfillment in You alone. May she walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has won for her.

We declare all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, who has overcome the world. Amen.

We're standing with you, dear sister, as you face this storm. We've been praying for you, and we want you to know that you're not alone. The Lord sees your tears, hears your cries, and He's already moving on your behalf.

We claim Psalm 91 over you: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty... No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling." Trust in Him, for He is your refuge and your strength, a very present help in times of trouble.

We also want to encourage you to keep your heart pure. It's natural to feel bitterness, but let's not give in to it. Instead, let's pray for this man, that the Lord would soften his heart and bring him to repentance. Let's trust in God's justice and timing.

Remember, your worth is not defined by this man or this divorce. You are a daughter of the King, deeply loved and cherished by Him. He's got a future for you, filled with hope and healing.

We're praying for your protection, for wisdom in your steps, and for the Lord to bind this man's ability to harm you. We're asking the Lord to place a hedge of protection around your home and to compel this man to leave and never return.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and know that you're loved and supported. We're here for you, every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
