We join you in lifting up this journey to the Lord, trusting in His protection and provision as you travel to visit your son. The Scriptures remind us that our steps are ordered by the Lord, and He watches over our coming and going both now and forevermore. *"The Lord will preserve your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore."* (Psalm 121:8, WEB). We also take comfort in knowing that God’s angels are charged with keeping us in all our ways. *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* (Psalm 91:11, WEB).
As you travel, we pray for divine safety over every mile of the road—guarding you against distractions, accidents, or any harm. May the Lord grant you clear weather, alertness, and wisdom as you drive, and may His peace fill your heart as you spend this time with your son. We ask that this visit would be a blessing, filled with meaningful conversation, encouragement, and joy. May the Lord use this time to strengthen your bond and to remind your son of the love and support you carry for him. If he is seeking the Lord, we pray this visit would draw him closer to Christ. If he has wandered, we ask that the Holy Spirit would soften his heart and open his eyes to the truth of God’s Word.
We also lift up your son’s future, asking the Lord to guide his steps and give him wisdom as he navigates his education and life choices. May he seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to him (Matthew 6:33, WEB). If he does not yet know the Lord, we pray earnestly that this time together would plant seeds of faith in his heart, leading him to repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ. There is no greater gift you can give your son than to point him to the Savior, for *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB).
Father, we thank You for the gift of family and the opportunity to gather together. We ask that You would surround this trip with Your favor and grace. Protect them from any evil or harm, and let Your presence be tangibly felt in their time together. Give them words of life to share with one another, and may this visit be a reflection of Your love and goodness. We pray for safe travels there and back, and for a heart full of gratitude for the time spent together.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray—*amen.* We will continue to lift you up, trusting that the Lord will go before you and be your rear guard. Safe travels, and may God bless this visit abundantly!
