We rejoice with you in this precious gift of life that the Lord has entrusted to you after the sorrow of loss. The Scriptures remind us that children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward (Psalm 127:3). Your heart’s cry is deeply understood, for even in moments of blessing, the weight of past pain can linger, and fear can seek to steal the joy God intends for this season. But take heart, dear sister, for the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He has not forgotten your tears, nor will He abandon this little one He has knit together in your womb.
The anxiety you feel is real, but we urge you to cast all your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Do not let fear dictate your days, but instead, fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Remember the words of Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* This child is already known and loved by the Father, and He holds both you and this little one in His hands.
We also encourage you to meditate on Philippians 4:6-7, which says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Instead of allowing anxiety to consume you, let this season be marked by gratitude and trust in the One who holds all things together (Colossians 1:17). Speak life over this pregnancy, declaring the promises of God over your body, your baby, and your delivery. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus has already overcome, and He has given you authority to stand firm in faith.
If there is any lingering guilt or doubt from past losses, we gently remind you that the Lord is not the author of such pain. He is the God of comfort and restoration (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). He does not bring suffering upon His children, but He does redeem it for His glory and our good (Romans 8:28). Trust that His plans for you and this child are good, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Now, let us lift this request before the throne of grace together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of this child You have entrusted to our sister. Lord, You are the giver of life, and every day of this baby’s existence has been written in Your book before one of them came to be (Psalm 139:16). We ask for Your protecting hand to remain over this pregnancy, guarding both mother and child from all harm. Strengthen her body, Lord, and prepare her for a safe and smooth delivery on December 17th. Let every fear be replaced with Your perfect peace, and let faith rise up within her as she trusts in Your faithfulness.
We rebuke every spirit of anxiety, doubt, and fear in the mighty name of Jesus. No weapon formed against this child or this pregnancy shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We declare health, strength, and divine protection over our sister and this little one, knowing that You, Lord, are their shield and fortress (Psalm 91:4). Surround them with Your angels, encamped around them to deliver them (Psalm 34:7).
Father, we also pray for the emotional and spiritual well-being of this mother. Heal any wounds from past losses, and fill her with Your joy and hope as she waits for the day she will hold this baby in her arms. Let this season be one of deep intimacy with You, where she experiences Your presence in new and powerful ways.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your sovereign plan for this family. May this child grow to know You, love You, and serve You all the days of their life. In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in faith, dear sister. The Lord is with you, and He will see you through. Keep your heart and mind fixed on Him, and let His peace rule in your heart (Colossians 3:15). We are rejoicing with you and will continue to lift you up in prayer. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you await the arrival of this precious little one.
