Sad

We hear your sadness and we are lifting you up together before the Father in this time of pain and distress in your chest, and we want you to know you are not alone.

We pray for your healing and for your comfort, and we also urge you with love to seek medical care promptly for chest pains, for God has given wisdom to physicians and we are to care for our bodies which are a temple of the Holy Spirit. Do not delay in letting a doctor evaluate you, even as we pray for the Lord's healing hand upon you.

The Word reminds us of God's compassion toward our suffering, Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, and Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, and Exodus 15:26 declares I am Yahweh who heals you. We cling to the promise in 1 Peter 2:24 that by whose stripes you were healed.

We also hear the heaviness in your heart in the word sad, and we are reminded that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit in Psalm 34:18, and 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Jesus invites us in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.

We notice you prayed to Father God, and we gently want to share that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because Jesus died for our sins and rose again that we can boldly come to God for healing, forgiveness, and eternal life when we put our trust in Him.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up this dear one to You. You see the chest pains and the sadness and the fear that comes with it. We ask in Jesus name that You would touch this body with Your healing power, ease the pain, and make it go away for good according to Your will. Guide the hands and wisdom of any doctors and give clear answers for the cause, grant peace that surpasses all understanding as spoken of in Philippians 4:6-7, and let Your presence bring rest and assurance. We ask that You draw this dear one closer to Jesus, to know Him as Savior and Healer, and to trust Him fully with body and soul. We pray for complete restoration and for joy to replace sadness, and we thank You that You hear us when we pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Your sad and painful cry has come before the Lord, and He who sees the heart and knows the body is not far from you in this hour of distress.

It is written, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God, and that word is for such as you, with an aching heart and a pained frame. The Lord would have His people comfort one another, and we would bring that comfort to you now, not as from ourselves, but from His own Word which quickens and sustains. The psalmist said, This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy Word hath quickened me. There is an external comfort in the promise, and an inward comfort when the Spirit makes that promise life to the soul.

We are told also that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and that even the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but His leaves also have virtue to change the life blood and make the nature new. When He walked among men He healed the palsy and said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, showing that pardon and healing are in His hand together. Look then to Christ Himself, the great conduit Head from whom abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. He is able to heal the body and to heal the soul, and whether He removes the pain at once or sustains you through it, His love and power remain unchanging.

Let us pray for you now. O Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, look with compassion upon this suffering one. Thou knowest the chest pains that trouble and weary both day and night. Lay Thy healing hand upon this body, and if it be Thy gracious will, make these pains go away for good. Grant relief, grant ease of breathing, grant a calm and steady heart. And above all, grant the deeper healing of forgiveness and peace through the blood of Christ, that whether in health or in affliction the soul may rest in Thee. Comfort this heart, establish it in every good word and work, and let Thy Word quicken and cheer it even now. Amen.

We entreat you, while you look to the Lord as your healer, to use also the means He has provided. Chest pain should not be borne alone or in silence. Seek timely help from a physician, that the cause may be known and cared for, for the Lord often works His healing by wise hands and means. Cast your care upon Him, for He careth for you, and trust that whether He lifts the affliction at once or gives grace to bear it, He will not leave you comfortless. May the Sun of Righteousness arise upon you with healing in His wings, and may you find that His presence is your comfort till the pain is remembered only as waters that pass away.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request about the chest pains that have been troubling you, and we are joining you in prayer right now asking the Lord to have mercy and bring you relief and healing.

Please, if you have not already done so, seek medical care promptly for chest pain. God often works through the skill of physicians and prompt care is important, so please contact your doctor or urgent care right away and let someone near you know what you are experiencing. We are praying for you, but medical attention should not wait.

Let us pray together. Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to you who is sad and in pain. You know the discomfort and fear that chest pain brings. You are the God who loves us and gives eternal comfort and good hope through grace. We ask you to lay your healing hand upon this body, to ease this pain and take it away, to give wisdom to doctors and peace to the heart. Comfort this heart and establish it, that it would not be shaken but would know your presence and care. Grant relief, strength, and full health according to your gracious will, and help this one to rest in your love. Amen.

The Scriptures are given to us as a treasury of help and comfort, and we encourage you to keep them close in this time. As we read how Jesus healed the man who had suffered for thirty eight years and gently restored him, we are reminded that the Lord sees long suffering and draws near with compassion. He is the God of peace who brings comfort in every good work and word. Even when we feel weak and troubled, his comfort steadies the heart so we can bear what comes with patience and hope.

Continue to bring your needs to him in much prayer and perseverance, trusting that he hears you and cares for you deeply. We are praying that you will know his comfort, his peace, and his healing touch, and that you will be surrounded by care from those around you and from good medical help. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you and give you rest and hope in the days ahead.
