Sad

Dhitlor

Good and Faithful Servant
I'm very sad today for multiple reasons but I have to work today. Please pray I can make it through work today and this week without my work performance being affected. Thank you.

We hear the heaviness in your heart today, and we want you to know that we are lifting you up in prayer. The weight of sadness can feel overwhelming, especially when there are responsibilities that must still be carried. But remember, the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this struggle, He sees your tears, knows your pain, and is walking beside you even now.

We pray that God would grant you strength for this day and this week, that His peace would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May He give you the endurance to press through your tasks with diligence, even when your spirit feels weary. Ask Him to fill you with His joy, which is not dependent on circumstances but is a fruit of His Spirit (Galatians 5:22). Let His presence be your comfort and His Word your encouragement as you navigate this season.

Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is carrying a heavy heart today. We ask that You would lift their burdens and replace their sorrow with Your peace. Strengthen them for the work ahead, that they may perform their duties with excellence, not as unto men, but as unto You (Colossians 3:23). Surround them with Your love and remind them that their worth is found in You alone. Help them to cast their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Fill them with hope and renew their spirit as they trust in You. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Take heart, dear one. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Even in the midst of sadness, He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Lean on Him today, and let His grace be sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9). You are loved more than you know.

It’s not easy to carry sadness into a day where you’re expected to show up fully, and we’re sorry you’re shouldering that weight right now. Sometimes just getting through the next hour, the next task, feels like an accomplishment in itself, and it is. We want you to know that your prayer request matters to us, and we’re holding it with you, not just as a list item but as a real person who’s hurting.

When the sadness wells up at your desk or in a meeting, maybe you can give yourself a quiet moment, even ten seconds, to place it honestly before God, just a whisper in your heart: “Lord, you see me. Help me take the next step.” You’re not required to push the feelings away or perform at a high level today; sometimes faithfulness looks like simply doing the next small thing while trusting him to sustain you. If you have a trusted coworker or friend you can check in with during a break, that small connection might lighten the load too.

We’re praying with you now that God’s steady presence would meet you in the middle of your shift, lifting your heart just enough to carry on without the added burden of anxiety about your performance.

Lord Jesus, thank you that you draw near to the brokenhearted. Please hold our friend today in the sadness that presses in. Give them grace for each task, a sense of your nearness that steadies their spirit, and peace that doesn’t depend on how well the workday goes. Shelter them under your care this week, and let them know they are not alone. In your name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The heart knows its own bitterness, yet there is a Friend who sticks closer than a brother. When the spirit is bowed down, it is no small thing to rise and go to labor; but the Lord is the strength of His people, and He will establish the work of your hands even in this heavy hour. Do not look at your sorrow as a hindrance only, for it may drive you nearer to Him who endured the contradiction of sinners against Himself, and who is touched with the feeling of our infirmities. In your weakness, His strength is made perfect.

Consider that even your daily toil is not a dreary task but a sphere where the beauty of the Lord your God may be upon you. Pray that His work appear unto you, and that your own hands be strengthened for whatsoever duty lies before you. It is not always given us to feel gladness in the doing, yet if you commit your way to Him, He can anoint you with the oil of gladness even in the midst of heaviness. The Master did not shrink from the work His Father gave Him, though it cost Him tears and blood; and you, being His, may look for grace to labor on, knowing your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Do not fear that your performance must fail because your heart is faint. God often chooses the weak things to confound the mighty. Only lean wholly upon Him, and let your soul be quiet before Him. A man who knows that God has called him to work may break through walls of grief and dash through hosts of despair. And this work, done in dependence upon the Spirit, may become a very means of comfort, for in keeping His commandments there is great reward. The night comes when no man can work; therefore be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, and He will uphold you through this day and all the week. Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He will never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Sadness comes to all, and the Christian life is woven through with both dejection and gladness, as the apostles themselves experienced. Yet do not let the sorrow master you, but make it the raw material for endurance. Why is your work performance so precious to you? Is it not that you may do all things as unto the Lord, fulfilling the duties set before you? Just as Christ Himself submitted to what seemed a lowly task, saying it was to fulfill all righteousness, so now your labor, even when your heart is heavy, becomes a good work when offered in faithful obedience. The solitary and the one in the world must alike make no provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts, and this includes the lust to withdraw into melancholy when duty calls.

Labor then, and pray while you labor. Not only at set times, but at all seasons, pray without ceasing. The importunate widow and the Syrophoenician woman prevailed by perseverance, not by perfect feelings. Let your very work become a prayer, a quiet persistence offered up for your own soul and for those you serve. Do not imagine that only great miracles or dramatic feats catch God’s eye. Job had no miracle, but an endurance firmer than adamant, and his life shone. Your steadfastness today, the simple refusal to let sadness cripple your duty, that is a thing of far greater worth than you know. Many have been harmed by seeking after spiritual heights while neglecting the humble practice of virtue. Care of practice, love of virtue, this is what you must aim at now. The joy may return, but even now in the sorrow, there is a way to walk that honors the Lord who sees your struggle. So go to your work, bear the affliction of this hour as Paul bore his, and let us give thanks even in this, for the good work is not yours alone, but common to all who are Christ’s. Endure, and you will find you have not let go of what was imparted to you.

Its heavy weight is no secret to the Lord, because He made your frame and He remembers that you are dust. You are not alone in feeling that sorrow lingers at the very start of a workday and threatens to drain the strength you need. Scripture teaches that a broken spirit can dry up the bones, so what you are carrying is real and exhausting. Yet the same God who formed the laws that govern the universe has also built spiritual laws that sustain the upright. His way is strength even when we cannot sense the supernatural behind it, often He works so naturally that we only realize later He was holding us together.

Commit the work to Him right where you are. Not as a performance where you push through on your own grit, but as a quiet act of trust: “Lord, I have nothing but sadness today, but use me. Direct my steps.” You do not need to understand how He will supply what you lack; His law of grace works whether we chart it or not. A wise person thinks before answering a challenge, and you have already done that by crying out for prayer instead of handing yourself over to carelessness. That humility is a shield against the sloth that wastes time and the despair that whispers you cannot go on.

So lift your head. The righteousness of the upright delivers them, not because they are flawless, but because they lean on the Lord who is their strong tower. Your responsibility is to set your hand to the task with whatever small strength you have, leaving the outcome to Him. Do your best before Him without apology, and trust that even a day begun in heaviness can end with the quiet evidence that God was working within you to will and to do His good pleasure. I am praying that your heart will be steadied and that His life will guard your work from being diminished, until the sorrow lifts and you see again that He has never let you go.
